In this standout chapter of the Internet novel The Last White Wolf, Sora introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.

Nero inhaled looking at me, "Yeah, thought I should come in here and see if anything needed to be done." Nero was the Tribes leader, he hasn't been in charge long due to the fact the former leader died a couple of months ago from old age(which was like 20). Nero was very young in fact, younger than most leaders who were like 70+, he was only 46, young and kicking.

"Why don't you go prepare for the mating dance tonight? You've been doing more than the others and we're not even your family," he slightly smiled getting up from the stonily chair. The room was at least /4 of the east forest and believe me, the east wing forest has a lot amount of acres to it. I shock my head no taking some steps closer instead of staying by the entrance/exit. "Why not?"

"I rather not say... but How about I gather food for the party?" he chuckled shaking and waving his hand in the air like I just told an hysterical joke... which I didn't.

"I suggest you go to the party, if its a escort you're looking for, why don't you take my daughter? I'm sure she'll love to go with you."

"Erm... I rather-"

"Don't be shy, a young lad like yourself needs to have more fun than stuck here stacking wood and gathering food." I nodded not even bothering to argue back, what the hell was I suppose to tell him? The reason I wasn't going to the mating Dance was because I didn't ask Chance yet and knowing Chance... he wouldn't want to be stuck in a crowd. I was originally going to blow it off and hang out with Chance alone that way it wouldn't be that much of an hassle but still... Jett, Forrest and Silas was going. "How old are you?"

"19 sir."

"Let me ask you something," Nero moved over to what I'm guess was his work area for things the tribe needed and didn't. "When was your first hunt?"

"I was 12... sir."

"So young! But I'm not surprised, people are starting their pups off at 9 years old now. I can understand coming from an Alpha like you." Alpha like me...? Was that an insult? Was I doing something wrong as an Alpha? "Oh, Karla will show you someone who I want you to met once at the party. I'm sure you guys will go along well."

"I'm only doing this to pass time," he only laughed more. I didn't see what the hell was so funny, in seconds I would knocked that damn look off his face pretty soon. Not only did he piss me off, but this bastard is suppose to be the Vice leader? I couldn't believe it, no matter how much I looked at him he gave off that 'young' aura.

"I'm only 23," he informed reading the words off my face.

"I don't give a damn." In a blink of an eye the wood gathering was finished, each piece broken down into smaller pieces and piled up to carry back. I grabbed most of the share already making my way back to the Tribe. The west wing forest was very narrow for both, human and a wolf. Due to that, it was better to just carry the shares in this form. I didn't bother to look back, just keep moving forward as one of the gathers dropped the wood. Normally I would have helped them but lets face it, I needed to talk to Chance a.s.a.p. Really all I wanted was some fresh air and some time to think, without any stress. The fact that he let this bastard touch him irked my nerves. 'Cute' he called him, he didn't even do anything just smiled at him, what the hell was he thinking? Yet I still want to bring him to the dance but I guess that... won't happen.

A hand stole a handful of wood from me, nearly taking 3/4ths of what I had. I looked up glaring at Levi as he basically carried everyone's share, "I'll be taking this."

He smiled causing my blood to boil," I'm not some weakling, give it back."
