I looked over to see Chance, he was carrying a small pile of firewood as a light skinned girl was next to him, carrying about the same amount laughing. When Chance stop, his eyes meeting Austin's who were basically looking at the snow now... The girl, Karla, from what Austin told me stopped too staring in curiosity. I could tell, neither one of them were man enough to apologize first, I thought Austin would, but anger formed on his face. "Austin..." Chance began, his eyes watering with just Austin's presence.
"Don't think just because you're crying I'll forgive you." Austin snapped half yelling—half talking.
Chance Laughed in disbelief, "Aren't you the one who needs forgiving?" Dammit! I cursed in my head! I knew once Chance gets hurt or something of the sort he would try to cover it up but dammit! DAMMIT DAMMIT!!! Curse these idiots!
"Me!?" Austin met he gaze, both of them soon regretting it averting the contact. "You're the one clearly cheating in broad daylight with her!"
"It's not cheating if we were never mates!" Chance shouting gritting his teeth. Austin stepped back in shock, soon retrieving his 'I don't care' expression. Chance bit his lip, holding back the cry and anger raging through them both. I knew he regretted the words, both the ones just said and the ones that caused this, due to his body language.
"Silas," Austin mumbled walking away, "Let's go, there's nothing for us here."
I nodded following behind Austin but looking back occasionally to see Karla trying to cheer Chance out of his frozen depressing state. There was no way I could help either one of them. If they kept biting back their real feelings, the words they really wanted to express... no process was going to be made.

*Austin's POV*
"Get away from me," I shooed at Levi as we entered the forest. He never listened, he just kept his pace by mine grinning. "You're really annoying." I hissed through my teeth.
"It's not me who you find annoying," he chuckled aggravating me more. "So, I don't see you going to go visit Chance anymore. Did you finally tell him about us?" I ignored him looking around the forest sniffing at any sign of living lunch. The snow was growing, at least 3 extra inches, burying almost everything on the ground. The tree's barks had darkened, adapting to the cold, their leafs covered by heavy snow, yet the thin leafs kept a good grip. I looked at the ground, se arching for any paw prints, or anything that would lead us closer to finding our prey. "Karla seems to be pretty serious about Chance."
"Play with me...for a while," he laughed, the same demonic grin still staining his lips.
I pushed the curtain back letting Karla enter first, I don't know why but her eyes glittered with excitement causing her to giggle. She turned on her heel to face me, "Still upset?"
"A bit..."
"I'm sure everything will clear up soon... here!" She handed me a new set of the tribal cloth, the color still lighter than everyone’s. I grabbed it holding it to me as she smiled. "I'll wait outside..."
"Okay." With that said she left. Taking my time I slowly began to remove the cloths from my body. She said it would clear up soon but... would it really? I didn't mean to say those things to him, I was just angry. Especially after saying it out loud, that we weren't even mates... the look on his face caused my heart to bend in a twist. Tic for tack was not a way I wanted to solve something, and surely not with Austin. He's did so much for me yet... an heavy sigh escaped my lips. Even so, it made me angry. Why was that girl so much better than me? Why did he hide her? Why?
