"What is it that you would like to ask?" Nero solemnly questioned not even looking at me while Karla examined my tail, her face filled with determination but what was she so determined about?

"Oh, uh..." His cold dark eyes placed on mine intimidating me easily. I could tell he really didn't like me from the first meeting, now the second time was already going bad. "M-my t-tail..." I stuttered not knowing how to start of the question.

"What about it?" I glanced at Levi as he walked over to Austin annoying him with poking his face. Austin growled shoving him back but he just came forward to him again, teasing Austin of his cuteness. I growled angrily at Levi, him smiling at me but quickly turned back to Austin. "Ahum?!"

"Oh- S-sorry... About the tail... I don't know how to get rid of it..." The way the chief looked at me was a familiar look my old tribe gave me, the pity and stupid look on their face questioning my actions. Karla giggled finally letting go of the tail that laid dead in fear and embarrassment.

"Do you not know?" he sighed taking his contact from me and placing it on Austin who was keeping Levi from stealing a kiss from him. Austin looked up at Nero, his blue eyes staring into evil. "Austin why didn't you just tell him? Did he not ask you? Since you already know what it means I'm sure. You are an alpha that was one of the lessons."

"I uh-" I glanced back at him in confusion, he said he didn't know about the tail? Why would he lie? Apparently, and it shouldn't have had to be seen but Austin noticed my expression, as it told the thoughts that were swimming around in my head. "Chance I didn't want to-"

Nero exhaled sharply standing from his chair and walking over to me. He immediately pulled on my tail, "When a wolf's tail is exposed to the human's form like you see, it is alarming others around you." He began only confusing me more. Karla was giggling at Austin who was on the verge of wanting to beat Levi till his hair turned black.

"Alarming others? Of what?"

"That, that wolf is in heat."

"H-heat?"

"Yes?"

"Is it possible to remove a mate mark? or will that only leave two mates for that one carrier?" I slumped back at the conversation. It was already embarrassing enough Levi and Karla had to know I was in heat, but to have this being brought up... I wasn't comfortable with it. My stomach started to turn and twisted viciously making it hurt.

"No, you cannot remove a mate mark, nor can you have two." Nero looked oddly at me as I felt my the blood drain from my face. The small push in my throat making me remember the time. Disgusting. There was no way? "Did something happen?" His eyes laid back on Austin worriedly.

"I rather not say it out loud..." Austin murmured to him before I rushed out of the tent. I glanced at the forest exit rushing to it. Once there I started to gag, the painful feeling returning. There was no way to remove a mate mark? Nor have two mates? I could feel the tears stinging my eyes. It wasn't from the pain I just caused my throat, but the fact that I couldn't be Austin's mate. Was this how Silas and Forrest felt? Did they hate it? That those two could never be mates because their wives already carried their mate marks? Yet, how do they keep so calm about it? I backed away falling on the snow as I cried, this was extremely unfair...

"Chance," A hand fell over my shoulder. I thought it would have been Austin but, it was an unfamiliar touch and I could tell by the voice. I looked up through my tears at Nero, "The one who did something to you, did you want to mate with him, ever?"
