He must have knew, he must have. Father wasn't stupid when things came down to me, he wasn't stupid at all. He always kept a sharp eye out for me to tell me what caused my failure. It was always something like; I was too slow, I complain to much, I was a coward, I'm too weak, I'm an idiot, and more. But this time, he didn't look at me. He usually would focus his hazel eyes to mine, his face serious and disappointed easily as I already knew he gave up on me a long time ago. Now, I felt a different atmosphere, his eyes weren't even close to mine. They were glaring into the familiar icy blue eyes which made me fear being here even more. Like the alpha he was, Austin kept his hold on contact with my father.

"I don't- well, I know that starting from the time where I hired Austin, you're number one alpha to help you... to train you so you could fit in that you haven't progressed at all."

"That's a lie!" Austin hissed through his teeth yet my father just carried on.

"For the two years I've put my son in your hands and you not only defy to help him, you force him into contributing in that indecent act of yours." I bit down on my lip, gnawing and nibbling nervously and confused on the inside. I was clearly lost in this subject. Father thought Austin was forcing me to be with him instead of Milo?

"What the hell are you even talking about!? He's improved greatly and I'm not forcing him into anything!! You haven't even been here for your son so you know nothing!!" Austin shouted as I quickly grabbed his arm and held him from marching over to my father.

"Well, starting from today onward, you'll see how great of a parent I am. Austin, you are no longer needed."

"What? What do you mean he's no longer needed?!" Father glanced at me then back to Austin before looking over the papers. There was a slight smug look on his face yet I couldn't really detect it. "Father-!!"

"He's asked Karla to replace you, Austin." Trent hissed clearly happy with this situation.

"You can't do that!!"

I glanced at him then back down to the snow feeling my cheeks burns. Mates? Yeah if possible. Technically it was true, but then again it wasn't. I was the one who said we're mates with or with out the marks. So why am I getting all down like this? That's because deep down inside I still hoped for us to be able to mate. Even if it was just for one day... one night, I hoped for it. But I don't think I would be able to control myself after that. This tail, the heat it showed I was in, even if we had one chance to do so I would desperately want to mate again.

"You know," Austin whispered as I felt his hand brush against mine. I glanced up into his blue eyes in question, “It’ll be fine. Just keep concentrating like earlier and you’ll have it in no time. You won’t even need a trainer after you get the hang of it, and I know you can.” he smiled leaning over to me before placing a kiss on my lips. He pulled back only a little be to look at me in the eye, “Just don’t fall for her or else…”

“Huh?” Pressing in again, his soft lips moved over mine causing me to shiver. Not to long my tail was wagging eagerly for more, but sadly he pulled back taking the warmth away.

“That.” I growled unsatisfied but still happy. There was no way I would fall for Karla when I was already madly in love with Austin.
