Despite the pain, I pushed myself up in a sitting position. "How did you know where to find me?" I asked.

"We can talk later." I could hear the relief in his voice. "We need to get out of here before Silvio's men come in. Can you walk?"

I nodded. I hurt. I hurt so much, but I would make it out of here. After we got out I could take a long nap. That's what I needed. I needed a comfortable bed, and a nap.

Dante nodded his head. "Ok. Just follow me. Stay close, and if I tell you to run then run."

"No." I protested, suddenly remembering Angela. "Angela! He shot her." I cried. "She was going to save me but then died. You can't die, Dante. Don't do that to me."

He didn't fully understand what I was saying. "Just trust me." He said. "I'm not going to die."

I nodded my head, and wiped the tears away. He took my hand in his, and quietly lead us to the door.

I heard a laugh that caused me to jump out of my skin. "What, you thought I'd leave her down here with no supervision after what she did?" He asked.

"And did you honestly think I would come here alone?" Dante asked back, squeezing my hand tightly.

"No I did not." Nick replied honestly. "However, you are alone right now."

Why couldn't Dante bring someone with him?

"Nicholas, the moment you fire that gun, you're life is going to end. The people you have upstairs are all going with you."

"To hell." I mumbled.

Nick looked at me and laughed. He sighed. "Skyla, you used to be so sweet. I miss you." He sounded sincere. "You know I love you, despite all that's happened. I didn't want to hurt you, but these men killed my family. I watched them put a bullet through my father's head. That's bound to leave a mark on a person."

"You killed Angela." I accused.

"That wasn't me. I hit you over the head, but I did not shoot Angela. I liked her cooking."

Dante brought his gun up. "I don't have time for small talk." He said, putting his arm around my neck.

Now I needed to finish Nick. The look on his face told me that he had no problem ending my life right now.

He shot, sending a blinding pain down my arm. I couldn't breath, I couldn't see.

I pulled on the trigger one last time, desperate. I didn't want to die.

My head was spinning out of control, and I fell to the floor. Nick stood over me, with his gun pointed to my head. The bullet would go right between my eyes.

"Please." I begged, even though he probably couldn't hear me. I couldn't even hear me.

His finger moved over the trigger. Tears silently rolled down my cheeks, when a gun fired.

Nick's body became lifeless as it hit the ground.

I looked up to see Silvio standing there holding out his hand for me to take. The man who accused me of being a fake, and wanted to kill me, now saved my life.
