After hearing the whole story, I couldn't help but smile.

Spending that 30,000 really paid off. It was a two-for-one deal, or more accurately, a three-for-one. After all, I pocketed 300,000 in return.

Hanna and I enjoyed a great conversation, reminiscing about our school days and the dreams we used to share. It struck me that despite any differences in salary or family background, we could easily reconnect.

As our conversation stretched into the night, we stopped by a barbecue stall where we savored delicious food. With a stunning woman like Hanna by my side, I caught a few envious glances from nearby men.

Noticing the flush on Hanna's face, thanks to the alcohol, I decided to cut back on my own drinking. I arranged for a designated driver to get her home safely before hailing a taxi for myself.

Even with the recent happiness and the several million in my account, I couldn't shake off a surreal feeling, worried those millions might vanish one day.

Driven by this anxiety, I decided to dive back into work. My job was the only constant I could count on.

Most were from Ted, and his anger practically jumped off the screen.

In our last encounter, Ted had bluntly told me he planned to pile on my workload as a form of punishment. I didn't expect him to act this quickly.

Late last night, Ted assigned me a task due this morning. Ignoring the fact that his sudden demand came during a holiday, even if he had given it to me during working hours, it couldn't have been completed on time. Clearly, he was trying to make my life difficult.
