Soon, news spread that Ted was fired. The head office had gathered evidence of his misdeeds and was ready to take legal action.

The employees Ted had favored with promotions based on personal relationships were all let go, and the company's operations became much smoother.

It was worth mentioning that Lyra, Ted's mistress, remained at the company. Despite her affair with Ted and her reckless personal life, she hadn't been involved in any of his wrongdoings.

But without Ted's favoritism, Lyra was left to rely on her own abilities, and her salary was now comparable to that of an intern.

At this point, even the cleaning staff looked down on Lyra. Those who had once been bossed around by her now had their chance to get back at her.

Despite everything, Lyra hadn't resigned, probably because finding a new job elsewhere would be tough for her.
