The hotel was a two-story building with a staircase made of mahogany with a thin layer of transparent and brilliant lacquer on it. The stairs took us to the second floor, where there was a gallery that led to the rooms.

We dragged our bags and suitcases to our rooms. Sebastian took two stairs at a time while hauling his heavy suitcases. He took over one of the empty rooms and lay down on the double bed, announcing to all passersby, "I'm alone in my room. I am not interested in sharing."

Simona and Carmen, who considered themselves the partners of the "Australian millionaire," stood in the doorway, surprised and waiting to be invited in. When no invitation was forthcoming, they went downstairs to the large salon, sat down in two chairs that were in front of the TV, lit cigarettes and waited for things to happen.

I approached them and asked, "What's going on with you girls?"

"Nothing, we will probably be sleeping here in the salon."

"Why is that? What happened? Is Sebastian not willing to share a room with you?"

"No," they answered. He is not interested in us."

"Wow. What happened? You were so attached to him till now."

"You are right, but he paid us to be with him. You understand?" one of them said making sucking gestures with pointing her finger in her mouth.

"And now he is not interested anymore?" I innocently asked.

"He said that I was not worth the amount he paid and is not interested anymore."

I went upstairs to look for Angelo, reflecting that the combination of students and prostitutes was not very successful. Since I didn't find him, I went into an empty room and began organizing my clothes, when suddenly Mirella walked in.

She turned to me and asked, "Are we in this room?"

I looked at her with some surprise and said, "If you want."

She left the room and after a few minutes she returned with her heavy, fully packed suitcase. I helped her lift it and put it up on the dresser.

Evening fell on the lake and the outdoor garden lamps were lit. I could hear loud voices arguing, but since I was too tired I didn't go downstairs to investigate. I lay down on the bed while Mirella went to take a shower, but not before locking the door to the bathroom."What is she plotting?" I thought to myself.

I didn't have to wait long for the answer.

She laughed again, and in her rolling voice said, "You are so square and naive."

She came closer to me, squeezed her breasts close to my arm and placed her hand on my chest.

"Mirella, I don't understand you. One minute you say I am too old, and then you say I am married and now you're clinging to me. Is this some kind of game that you're playing?"

"Silly, don't you understand that everything I am saying is in jest, to challenge you to find interest in me, in us. The entire trip you have barely glanced in my direction. If I were to ask you what the color of my eyes is, I am sure you wouldn't know. How could you? You didn't look at me."

"You have almond-shaped green eyes. It's the first thing I noticed about you," I immediately replied.

"Now you deserve a kiss." She placed her soft lips on mine with her tongue simultaneously penetrating my mouth. We had been kissing for several minutes when suddenly someone came into the room and turned on the lights.

"Oh, sorry, wrong bedroom," he said.

It was Elia, looking for a place to sleep and going from room to room. He turned off the lights and left, closing the door behind him.
