"I think it's a brilliant idea." Steven caused Angela's mouth to still agape. "Of course, I'd help you. I'd help you plan everything. We can start whenever you want. I've already got a few ideas popping in my head. You can name it in Tony's memory. And I know just the perfect place in the city centre. I'll make a few calls first thing tomorrow."

For the first time that day, Angela smiled. Genuinely smiled. "Thank you, Steve. This is a big step for me and I'd really appreciate your help. I can finally be someone. Not just Jack Marshall's daughter or... or just your wife."

"Like I said, you deserve this." Steven set a tender hand on her shoulder accompanied by the warmest of smiles. "So is this why you came here at this hour? You should have known I'd accept to help without a second thought."

"Actually, I had to come and show you something or I wouldn't have been able to sleep for a minute." Angela reached into her bag and raised out a small velvety box. "My father left me this too."

"He left you a ring?"

"No." Angela flipped open the box's lid. "He left me two rings."

Steven stared at the two simplistic golden bands that blinded him with their shiny surface. He couldn't tear his eyes away from them.

"I could only guess he left these in attempt to impose you and me together like he first did ten years ago." Angela continued while watching a transfixed Steven.

"Sort of like his redemption?"

"Maybe."

Steven's eyes flickered up to find hers. "Well, I do too have to redeem myself with you for... everything. Should I slip one of these rings on your finger then?"

"In that case, I too have to apologize for keeping Daniel away from you. But I don't think slipping a ring on your finger would change anything."

"I might know a way around that."

Angela's brow raised, unsure what he was saying.
