"I hope you're not teaching Daniel how to lie." Steven feigned a stern side-glance.

Angela rubbed her fingers along his fake frown to relax his face. "I taught Daniel how to love you too."

Steven's face turned into her hand, to peck her palm before taking hold of her hand and then her other and tugged her the remaining distance to be just an inch away from her face. "You love me, huh." He raised up the hand which she still clutched onto the velvet box. His eyes were full of glint as his gaze didn't flinch from hers. "Does this mean you're going to give me one of these rings?"

"If I were to allow you to have one of rings, it comes with one condition."

"Another condition?"

"Yes. But this one's bigger. More important. More lifelong." Angela accentuated each word with grave prominence.

"And what is it?" Steven inquired, yet even more curious.

Angela pointed a firm finger into his chest with each word. "You don't ever, ever break my heart again."

Steven chuckled. "I think I learned my lesson now."

"I'm serious." Yes, she was. Her face was all serious.

"So am I. I did learn my lesson. And so did you."

Angela frowned at him, uncertain of what he had said. "I was the one on the wrong side of your mistake. What lesson would I have learned?"

"Well, it's not a lesson actually. It's more of a fact."

"Fact?"

Steven's arms snaked to her back, holding her close to him. "The fact that I will always, always love you no matter what."

Angela looked at Steven. See didn't need to speak anything. The warmth she saw in his eyes and the small smile playing on his lips was enough to declare his immense feelings for her. Yes, he did love her. And according to the tight hold he held her with, he had no intention of letting her go.

"You had to divorce me to realize you love me?" Angela teased him.

"I realized there's nothing more that I want than be married to you."

Surprisingly, his arms unlocked from around her and pulled back but only a little, just enough for his hand to bring her hand that held the velvet box. Then he took one of the golden rings, reached for her left hand and raised it up.

"Wait." She pulled back her hand from his. "I can't wear that. It's a wedding ring. And we're not married."

"You're right. We're not married." He replaced the ring in the box. "Yet."

Oh, dear. Steven's lopsided smirk only meant that he had the same thing on his mind as Angela thought it was. Something that she wished he'd just come out with clearly.

But all Steven did was stand there and look at her and smile at her.
