My mum just came strolling in with an expressionless face. Not minding the chards of broken tea cup on the floor.

Tell me it a lie... She whispered to no one in particular.

P-please sssomeone tell me it's all a bad dreams and I didn't see you and Angel kiss...she pleaded again sounding desperate.

"Mum..." Angel and I both called out in unism not really knowing what else to say.

"I'm talking to your father and not you so be quite." My mum said shooting a warning glare Angels way. Making her cower behind me.

"Jack what the hell is going on!!! She yelled at the top of her lungs her breath comming in gasps. Scaring me.

"Mum please calm dowm" I tried to persuade.

"Calm down? How? Not after what I just heard, what I just saw... You both want to get married?!!!" My mum asked she began a fit of laughter that is not quite as she pulled at the root of her hair.

Before I could even gather my thoughts and begin to speak, the room door was opened and in came my dad.

"Jack what going on here? Why his your mother like this? I was coming over to check on her since was taking too long and heard her yelling." Dad explained.

I couldn't even find the words to say. To this man who I have come to see as my own father, to my mother, I had no reasonable excuse worth listening to except the fact that I'm in love and so terribly so, with my own flesh and blood.

"It's all my fault..." I head Angel say from behind me. "All of this is all my fault." She stated in between sob.

"How, what do you mean.? "A very confused Father asked.

"No... it's not your fault, it's mine. I'm a bad mother and even a worse grandmother...If not, why would you both turned out like this.?" My mum said in a self convinced tone. Making my hear break.

"Mum, don't say that. If you need to blame someone, blame me." I said to her with guilty eyes.

Surely you're at fault too. She replied.

You got someone pregnant at a young age and the baby got dumped at our front door. I took it as all joy. We all make mistake at some point. You cancelled your engagement with Nora who you've been dating for years without any concrete excuse , I never one day pressured you for reasons why. Coupled with the news of her pregnancy and now this?" She asked wide eye.

"How long has this been going on." She asked not even sparing us a glance.

We both look at each other then at the floor. Not daring to say a thing.

"For fucks sake answer me!!!" She screamed. Yet we remained silent.

"Is anyone going to tell me what's going on here!" My dad shouted clearly fraustrated.

"I...We.." I began to say but couldn't seem to form any more words other than that.

"I came here to check up on how Angel was doing since she wasn't feeling too well this evening and I walked in on them kissing" my mum finally told him.

"That's not an issue, they do it all the time."

"On the lips Lue!!! on lips... Like long time lovers finally able to reunite.

They talked about marriage...about them getting married. How do you want to explain that lewis?!!

Lue tell me this is a dream. She said finally breaking down in her husband's arms crying bitter tears .

"By the look on his face, Father had a hard time processing this new info."

'Jack can you please explain things to your mother and I so she knows this is jusy some misunderstanding." My dad requested refusing to believe any of this.

"I'm sorry dad, I love Angel." I told him. I couldn't look him in the eyes.

"Of cause you do, as you should. You are after all her father. Just the way I love you and your sister" He replied

"I love her as a man loves a woman... As you love mum. I confessed which earned me a resounding slap from mum. Making Angel scream in shock.
