On the eleventh, when Ryan took me to the venue for the party, I mistook it for a wedding location.

It was not particularly elaborate but incredibly vast. I saw many people—Ryan’s business partners, company employees, and his friends. Even a few from the bar were there, apologizing to me.

“Sorry for the offense that day.”

“We were careless with our words.”

They even pretended to slap themselves, as if harming themselves was as easy as hurting others.

However, the man who had most offended me—the one who once sought Ryan’s ‘permission’ to be my boyfriend—was notably absent.

Others introduced themselves to me, thinking that my connection to Ryan might grant them some favor.

“Such a grand birthday party. Ryan must be wealthy.”

“Yes, recently there were rumors about Ryan’s relationship issues. Isn’t it the best evidence to prove they are so in love?”

“It is not our business. After all, we’re getting a half-day off.”

While Ryan said he needed to prepare something, I found a spot to listen to their talks.

Music suddenly started playing, and a group of musicians approached me. The crowd parted, surrounding me.

I felt lost as their smiling faces encircled me.

When the musicians formed two lines on either side of me, I saw Ryan at the end of one line.
