Throughout the night, Ryan was exhilarated, planning our futureI could sense that throughout the night, Ryan was brimming with excitement as he planned our future together.

When I mentioned that I was feeling tired and wanted to sleep, he paused for a moment before agreeing.

I warmed some milk and offered it to him.

He took a few sips and then continued to talk about our future plans.

He pulled me out of the water and explained, “Everything was going unbelievbly smoothly. I didn’t drink the milk; your attitude changed too quickly for me to believe.”

Ryan attempted to carry me back to the bed, but I resisted, unwilling to go.

At this point, I had to tell him the truth: “Ryan, everything I’ve told you about the system was a lie from the start. My task was essentially to help you make money, and it was completed when you signed that business contract a week ago. Today is the day I have to leave, and I’m running out of time.”

“No matter how much you hate me or love me, let me go. I don’t belong here.”

Ryan was stunned into silence for a moment. “No, are you lying to me again?”

“No matter the reason, I won’t let you go!”

Despite my being soaked and cold, Ryan held me tightly.

I glanced at the time and felt a surge of urgency. “Ryan, look at me.”

I pushed him away, trying to get him to calm down.

If this were truly about ending my life, I wouldn’t need such a convoluted excuse. Ryan, I know you’ve already started to believe me.

“Don’t listen! Stop talking!” Ryan interrupted me forcefully, but I persisted.

Even if you refuse to accept it, as the protagonist, you cannot change the plot. The plot was already prewritten by the game system.

“Go drink the milk and get some sleep. Soon, you’ll meet someone who gives you butterflies.”

Ryan’s demeanor shifted from dazed to furious. “What new love? I have only ever been in love with you!”
