Son

Son adjusted his school uniform for what felt like the dozenth time. Unconsciously, he touched behind his ear and felt relief when he was sure his hair was hiding his ashen mark. His necklace was hidden under his uniform and as he walked the halls of Sunny Side High School Son felt safe. Tong and Nim both stood beside him and Son smiled when Tong held Nim's hand and threw his arm casually around him.

Hiding his scent was easier now. He made sure to wear Tong's jacket and the two would share clothes to avoid Son being smelled out. This was the rouse the had used for years now and it never failed.

"I'm taking Nim to class. You'll be fine without us Runt?" Son nodded at Tong who patted him on the back and quickly left with Nim.

The two had moved in with Son to a small apartment that Son had managed to acquire on his own. He slept on the couch and had given Nim and Tong the bedroom as they were a couple and needed more privacy than he did.

Heading to his first class, Son walked to his homeroom. There were plenty of students waiting outside and Son stood in the back waiting for the teacher to come.

"So you're Son." A girl stood in front of him with three boys. She was beautiful, her eyes were sharp and she wore red lipstick. Beside her, there were two large boys. Son could smell them, Betas. Instinctively he lowered his head to show submission this caused the girl to smirk.

"Oh, isn't he cute! I can't believe he's my little brother!" Son's cheek was pinched and he could only look up at the girl in surprise. The boys beside her smiled at him warmly and Son could only look at them in confusion.

"Sorry about her Chai-See isn't exactly the shyest person in the world. I'm Rak and this is my mate Ken." The taller of the two boys spoke. It was then that Son noticed both boys were holding hands. He offered a wai to all three of them they did the same and smiled.

"I'm Ruby your older sister. Mom and dad asked that I greet you. They didn't tell me you'd be so cute! Look at those cheeks and those cute eyes!" Chai-See squealed. Son forced himself to smile at her feeling overwhelmed by her character. He was sure she wasn't being malicious but even so her friendly attitude took him off guard. Coming close to Son Ruby (Chai-See) sniffed once, then again frowning.

"What are you doing? Hasn't anyone ever told you that it's rude to sniff other people." A hand came and pushed Ruby's face away from Son gently, even so, the girl frowned. Her two friends laughed at her while the boy who had pushed her offered Son a smile. Beside him stood a brown-haired girl with a kind smile.

"Damn Tee! I was just smelling him. Son doesn't mind do you?"

"He obviously does look at his face," Tee spoke up shaking his head. Son managed another smile and the boy smiled back at him.

"Sorry about her Chai-See can be a little crazy when she's excited. I'm Tee, by the way, Chai-See's mate."

"Ruby! Ruby! Chai-See doesn't fit my style. Besides now more than ever I can't be Chai. We are both Chai" Ruby argued causing her friends to grin. That in itself hadn't flown past Son. Chai Son and Chai-See...It was as though this had been planned ages ago.

Another Beta. Son smiled at the dark-haired boy and silently bowed his head to him as he argued with Ruby. It was then that he caught a whiff of the girl standing beside them who was smiling and shaking her head. It was clear to him that she was a Beta. She seemed stronger than the average Beta, she certainly appeared to be the strongest of the Betas that were around Son at the moment.

"Damn Tee I was only wondering why Ai' Son smells like an average wolf when he's an omega." Son looked around frantically, worried someone heard Ruby who was quickly shushed by her friends.

"Chai can't you see he's protecting himself. Sorry about her she has no filter. I'm Apple by the way. Apple Moon."

Moon... Pen-Chan... Son concluded that Apple was indeed Chan's older sister. He'd done enough research on the Moon family to know that they had a daughter. Son smiled genuinely at Apple feeling happy that he was able to meet her. Her eyes were kind and the smile on her face was genuine. There seemed to be no prejudice in her eyes for him and Son hoped that in time they could be friends. Son also hoped that Apple would support him and Chan when the time came for him and Chan to be together.
