I was admiring her for a few minutes before I saw her eyebrows wiggling and lips trembling. Her breathing increased as she started shivering. I called her name but she started crying and at that moment I knew what was happening. I instantly sat up began to shake her to get her to wake up. She was having a nightmare.
"Nathan! Nathan!" She whispered while weeping as tears leaked out of her closed eyes.
"Fuck! Janet, wake up!" I shook her body, harshly and finally she snapped opened her eyes peering at me with her big red teary eyes. She sobbed louder and embraced me while I rubbed her back trying to soothe her. We stayed for a moment as I again went straight towards my thoughts. Has she been having nightmares all along? Since when? Why didn't she tell me? I shushed her and she calmed down and then I gently pulled away from her. I can't wait, she had already been hiding so much.
"What's wrong? Why are you so distant from me since yesterday night? Everything was good." I asked her irritated by her behavior.
"Nothing is wrong. It's just that I missed you." She stated as she avoided looking at me.
"Look in my eyes and tell me the truth." I muttered as her shocked eyes meet mine, she gulped and opened her mouth blew a shaking breath.
"Do you love me?" She whispered as I froze. Was this the reason she was so worried about? What the hell! She can't be crying for this, or can she?
"Of course, I love you. Is that even a question to ask and worry about?" I asked in disbelief as she gulped at my loud voice. I cupped her face and smacked my lips on her, showing her my love. She didn't respond but did try as it was hard, I tried to slow down, my anger was trying to take over. But I controlled myself and laid on top of her kissing her gently and finally she responded with the rhythm.
Our chest pressed as I could feel her heart beating loud. I pulled my lips away from her as she gleamed up at me with those brown orbs that I fell for. I fell for that innocence.
I pecked her jaw and went down along her jawline towards her neck while placing small kisses. I finally stopped at the place I was going to mark my treasure.
"Mr. and Mrs. Rivera. It's already 7, the breakfast is on the table. I have to go out for some groceries." I heard Lydia's voice boom but that didn't stop me.
"Um, okay! W-we wi- will be there!" Janet yelled as she tried to push me away and I growled not wanting her to be leave.
"Nathan! P-please we need to go!" She groaned while I sighed as I stopped with the sweet love. Giving her one last kiss, I casually walked into the bathroom and didn't turned back so I don't have the temptation to go back.
*********
"How long have you been having those nightmares?" I blunted as she stared at my eyes widened. "And don't lie." She gulped her bite down as she spoke.
"Since I was 10." She whispered the answer and it shocked me. She has been suffering too much. It's too awful.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked her as I took the bite of the sandwich.
Yesterday has been the best. When we both confessed to each other, he got more affectionate, compassionate and tender. Nathan now has been careful about my nightmare even after I told him that they aren't frequent as they were before. He contacted some therapist and now I have an appointment in three days. I also want them to stop but with the devil back to ruin my life it's quite impossible. When I am alone in the house, I can't help but think if Nathan is fine. Her threats shouldn't get to me, but they did. I can't stop worrying about him and that's what makes the nightmares come. I shouldn't think about her but since I am mostly alone in the house, I keep thinking. I don't know what to do and it's frustrating me.
"Let's go to the movies tonight." He didn't ask just told me not like I will deny him.
"What movie?" I asked, smiling as he hugged me from behind. His hand wrapping around my small waist as he dug his face under my neck while placing a small kiss. I tried to control the blush but couldn't as goosebumps cover my body.
"You won't get scared by a scary movie, right?" He questioned as he clipped my chin with his long fingers, turning my face to the side.
"No, I have actually seen one horror movie with Lydia. It was Conjuring 1, nothing scary about it, just interesting." I heard him chuckle as I dried the dishes.
"Did you really not get scared?" He asked, surprised. I shook my head as he pressed his body to mine and lightly swaying.
"Why are you surprised?" I finished the last plate and turned to face him.
"I mean, Bella screams while watching a horror movie." I laughed as he smirked at me, while leaning a little closer to me.
