"You guys are acting weird", Devon says.

"What do you mean?" she asks.

"Well this guy won't stop grinning, you're keeping something from me and I feel so left out", he says.

"Will I tell him?" I ask Amber.

"No way, I said not until I'm ready", she says.

"Tell me what? Why can't I know?" he asks hurt.

"You'll find out soon, just not now", she says. He mumbles something under his breath and looks out the window. When we arrive at school he storms out of the car, slamming the door behind him. It's obvious he's pissed at us for keeping secrets. "We can't tell him until I'm ready", she repeats.

"But he's family, we have to tell him, he's mad at us", I say.

"He'll be even angrier if we tell him and no telling Ellen either", she says. I nod and we get out of the car. I kiss her and then we go to our separate classes. I had art now which is great. Our teacher said we could do whatever we want, so I sketched a drawing of Amber and my hands on her flat belly. I didn't show her or my face, just our hands and her belly. Fortunately the teacher didn't ask to see the pictures so I just put it in my bag without anyone looking at it. If someone did find it, people will definitely know something's up.

"Hey Damian", Paul calls. He frightened me and made me drop my bag. Dammit Paul! Shit the sketch fell out. Paul picks up the bag and passes me it. He had the sketch in his other hand but it was folded so he couldn't have seen it. "Ooh, what have you drawn?"

"Don't Paul, just give it back", I growl.

"Oh come on man, you never let anyone see your art, I just want to see it for once, I'm sure you're great". He starts to unfold it.

"Paul as your Alpha I command you to stop, if you open it there's going to be serious consequences", I growl louder.

"It's only a picture Damian, don't get your knickers in a twist".

"Look you're already in trouble for ruin the moment with Amber this morning, don't make yourself in more trouble. So if you stop you won't be in trouble for earlier on this morning".

"I don't care about being in trouble I'd rather know what you've drawn". And with that he unfolds it fully and looks at it with shock. I bite my lip and move a hand through my hair. "What the fuck Damian, why have you drawn that?"

"The teacher said to", I lie. Hopefully he'll believe me.

"Why would a teacher tell their students to draw what looks to me like some pregnant girl with her and the father's hands on her stomach".

"Beats me, Ms Ryan is nuts".

"Yeah right, what's the real reason you drew this?"

"Am I what Paul?" I ask intrigued.

"Well I um...saw this very peculiar picture Damian had drawn and I'm just assuming the picture is of real events".

"What was the picture of?"

"This girl who had her hands on her belly and then these large hands on top of hers", he says, then looks back down at my tummy again.

"You can't seriously think that's from real events", I say.

"Well I wouldn't believe it was but from the way he reacted when I saw it and he also didn't want me to see it which makes me think it's true. Is it?"

"Damian's dead", I growl.

"Oh my god, it is! But you're 17 and still in school, what are you going to do?" he asks.

"I don't know yet, just go along with what live throws at me I guess. Please don't tell anyone".
