"Oh Amber, are you okay?!" she asks.

"I'm fine, where's Damian?!" I demand to know.

"Don't worry, he's coming in in a minute. What the hell were they fighting about?" Thank god Devon didn't tell anyone because I'm not ready for people to know yet.

"Just about me," I lie. It was sort of the truth and a lie. It was about me being pregnant and Damian the father. Suddenly Damian limps inside. Oh my god, he was in an even worse condition than Devon! He had two black eyes, blood all over his body and face, he was limping and there were scratches and cuts over his arms. They must have first fought in their werewolf forms then fought in their human forms. Damian gives me a weak smile and I faint at the sight of him.

****************

I wake up suddenly and look around the room. Damian was beside me, he sighs with relief when he sees me awake. We were in our bedroom with me resting on the bed and him sitting on a chair beside me, holding my hand.

"Oh thank god, you're awake!" The blood was gone but he still had cuts, scratches and two black eyes. "I've been so worried about you both, I thought something happened the baby."

"Is there something wrong with the baby?" I ask, starting to tear up.

"No, they're fine. I wanted to bring you to the hospital to check you out but your Mom said they were okay and it was just normal shock fainting."

"I'm so sorry Damian, it's all my fault you're hurt."

"No it's my fault, I'm the one who got you pregnant, I deserve the consequences. I would have done the same thing Devon done to me to Dean if he got my sister pregnant. It's just what big brothers do. Don't worry honey, none of this is your fault."

"He hurt you so much!" I gasp, running my hand down his chest. He bites his lip with pain and I cringe. "I'm so sorry Damian, I didn't mean to hurt you."

"It's fine Amber, no need to apologise. You're worth all pain." He pulls me to his chest in a hug and I feel those familiar tingles. "I love you so much."

"I love you too, where's Devon?"

"Your Dad's gone in his room to talk to him. I'm sorry for hurting Devon Amber but Alphas have to at least fight back a bit or they're seen as a coward. I tried not to hurt him bad."

"He's fine, you're the one really hurt. I can't believe he beat you up, his own best friend."

"We've got in fights together before, this one is probably the one with the least action." When did they fight before? I don't need to know, I'll be more stressed.

"Okay, goodbye Devon and please don't be angry with her, she needs you more than ever now. She needs her supportive big brother back."

"He hasn't gone anywhere," he assures me.

"Good and Damian needs you too."

"Yeah well he should have thought about that before knocking her up, if you see that asshole near her get him away from her, he's a bad influence on her and I don't want him anywhere near her."

"Devon you know that's not going to happen, he's her mate. They have to be with each other or else they die and he's the father, he wants to be with her all the time to make sure nothing happens them," I explain.

"Fine then," he mutters. "Is she okay? You said she fainted," he asks with concern.

"She's fine and so is the baby." He looks angry when I say "baby". "Devon, you're going to have to get used to sooner or later because the baby's going to be here for the rest of your life. It's your niece or nephew, be happy that it's okay. You're an uncle, be happy for Amber and Damian."

"It's too soon, she's a teenager, they both are," he growls then sighs. "You're right and I am glad it's okay. I'm happy for them too, I just wish they were older. I'll apologise to Damian too, I shouldn't have done that to him and reacted that way, I'll be the supportive big brother and best friend they want me to be, I promise. I'm not doing it because I have to but because I want to."
