"That's different..." Hannah disagrees softly but we all know she was lying to save herself.
"Hypocrite!" Simon accuses.
"Okay, you're right, I'm sorry," Hannah murmurs, placing her hands on his shoulders while bringing him closer to her. I feel the baby's kick and bounce against my belly and I take Damian's hand and place it on my belly over the kicks. He flattens both his hands over it and beams at me. We both love when they kick. They kick a lot more frequently now that I'm ten weeks off my due date. I just turned thirty weeks two days ago and it's getting harder now. Not only have I gotten so much bigger, but I'm getting more backaches, sore feet, mood swings, cravings all the time, exhaustion and so much more. Not to mention these Braxton Hicks contractions I've been developing every so often. Thankfully, those contractions weren't so bad and painful; all I have to do is change positions or go for a little walk around to stop them. "Ooh! Can I feel too?"
"Of course," I agree. She rubs her hand up and down the curve of my children and kisses them both while bending down. Their aunt Hannah is going to love them so much, along with everyone else. Hannah loves babies, she's so excited but no one could beat Damian's excitement. He is counting down the days and looking forward to it. I think ever since we should out the sexes we've become even more thrilled with anticipation.
"Oh my God, Simon, one of them kicked my cheek when I was putting my ear up against them! Feel them!" Hannah commands. Simon reaches his hand out to touch my belly but Damian wraps an arm around me.
"I think we should make give Amber some space, we're all invading her personal space and overcrowding her," Damian chimes in.
"No they're not," I protest. He does this a lot and I believe it's because he's protective of the babies and jealous because he wants them all to himself. "I like it, Mr Jealous."
"I am not jealous," Damian denies but I know the way he acts when he lies and this is it.
"Liar," I comment and stick my tongue out at him.
"No, I was just saying if he wants to rub some pregnant woman's belly, then, he should get his mate pregnant," Damian declares.
"Ha, no, that's not happening for a very long time, Simon," Hannah states.
"Aw, no babies?" Simon pouts.
"Not until after marriage," she replies. I give Damian that look I give when I know he's lying.
"Fine, I'm sorry. It's okay, Simon, you can feel her belly," Damian allows. Simon gives it a little stroke and presses into the kick.
"I'm only thirty weeks, Devon," I inform, "You have about ten weeks left, hopefully."
"That need to hurry up, I want to give them a big kiss each," he confides, wrapping his arms around me and placing his two hands on my protruding belly.
"They'll come when they're ready." I hold one of his hands on my belly and he kisses my forehead tenderly. Devon and my sibling bond have grown because of these babies. We were so close beforehand and now we're even closer, I didn't know we could be any more of a best friend than we were before but I was wrong. He withdraws his hands and places a piece of loose hair behind my ear.
"I guess I'll just have to continue to wait in anticipation then," he presumes. "I love you, baby sis, and my niece and nephew."
"We love you too." He smiles widely and sits beside Mia who kisses him. I finish my breakfast and get up to go to the toilet.
"Where are you going?" Damian asks as I start to walk out the room.
"Toilet, I'm bursting!" They chuckle at me and my frequent bathroom trips, I can't help it. I waddle to the nearest toilet and do what I have to do. I return to the dining room and my mum gives me a kiss on the cheek and a hug.
