In this standout chapter of the Internet novel Her Mate, The School's Player, Rhoda introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.

"He still kissed back though," Hannah says.

"Yes but he's truly sorry, he said he pulled back, it was only for a two or three seconds. He was probably just so mad and upset about the fight that he had a moment of weakness, I don't think it will ever happen again, sweetie," Ellen says.

"I'll tell him I forgive him and we can go back to the way we used to be," Hannah says, getting up.

"Well, he's left the house to probably get out his anger so maybe wait until he returns," I compromise and she nods with agreement.

"Thank you, girls," Hannah smiles weakly.

"Don't thank us, honey," I say, pulling her into another hug along with everyone else.

"How are the babies? You had me really worried a minute ago," Hannah says, patting my belly.

"Happy because their aunt Hannah is all better," I say and the others chuckle.

"You are absolutely huge," Rachel giggles at my belly, giving it a feel.

"I don't think I can get much bigger at this point. There's going to be no room left," I mumble.

"You still have ten weeks and I'm pretty sure you're going to continue to get big. You're like twice the size of a normal woman pregnant with twins at this stage," Mia says.

"If they weren't werewolves, then, I wouldn't be this big and since they're the Alpha's babies they're even bigger than normal babies! How lucky am I?" I grumble.

"You'll lose the weight fast; werewolves don't keep the fat very long. It goes away about a week after and you'll be back to your very skinny self in no time. Werewolves are naturally thin and fit, we can't get fat, it's just the way we are. Have you ever seen a fat werewolf?" Rachel tells. Now that I think about it, no I haven't. All the werewolves I know are so fit and skinny. I am so happy to hear this! I won't be fat forever! I was so worried Damian wouldn't find me attractive anymore if I didn't lose the baby weight and now I don't have to worry.

"You guys better not be messing with me because I'm really happy about that and if I find out it was a joke, I'll be very upset and pissed," I warn and they laugh.

"We're not," Mia ensures.

"I like that idea." He takes my hand and back and helps me upstairs. We undress and get into bed beside each other. He cuddles me and I snuggle against his warm chest. "What a perfect way to fall asleep."

"I agree." He kisses the top of my head and places a soft, feather-like kiss on my lips. "Sleep, baby, you all need your rest." I close my eyes and soon fall asleep in his arms. For the rest of my live I hope to fall asleep this way. This is like a fairy-tale but it's all real.

*Four Weeks Later.*

Today's school day has just ended and I'm looking forward to resting on the couch and snuggling up with Damian at home. My phone begins ringing and I answer the phone.

"Baby, I won't be home till later, I'm busy at the moment. I'm sorry, sweetie, I hope you don't mind," Damian says.

"It's okay, don't apologise. Have fun wherever you are, I'll see you at home. I love you, baby."

"I love you too, baby, miss you lots." Well, there goes my snuggling up with Damian. Before I hang up, I hear a girl giggling and Damian telling her to shush. That's odd, I expected him to be alone or at least be with guys. Who was he with? I thought he's at some werewolf meeting? What am I thinking? There are girl werewolves; he's probably in a meeting. I wish he could spend this time with me. I miss him already too.
