A wolf pup.

One of them yipped and started to run around the room staggeringly as if she wasn't use to four legs. Well of course she wasn't!

I raced out the room my mind complete mush as I frantically called Adain wanting to just believe what I'd seen hadn't been real.

He picked up on the third ring.

"Adain their dogs their freaking dogs I don't know what happen I was just and they this can't be happening I can't Adain I--"

"Woah calm down baby whats wrong?" Adain asked sternly but I could tell he was getting in his car.

"They turned into puppies!" I screamed panic etching in my tone.

It was silent for a beat before Adain cursed loudly sounding pissed.

"Baby I need you to calm down and make sure the girls don't leave the room or shift back okay? Can you do that I'll be there soon okay?"

"Okay." I mumbled mindless.

He hung up and I forced myself to walk back into the living room.

I stared as my 'girls' played rolling each other and nipping at each others ears. I stood like that staring at them wondering how I hadn't passed out yet.

The front door opened and I exhaled in relief as Adain ran in his face flush. When he saw the girls instead of horror or confusion I saw relief and pride shine on his face.

He turned his eyes to me guilt flashing in them.

"I was going to tell you Sidney I swear I was just waiting for the right time and I didn't think they were going to shift for at least two more years."

"What are you talking about!" I yelled panic and hysteria warring inside me.

Adain took a deep breath.

"Sidney. I'm a werewolf and so are the girls. So is the baby inside you."

I would have laughed if it wasn't for the fact I just witnessed my daughters turn into one.

My mind apparently could no longer handle all the information and I felt my eyes roll back in my head as everything went black.

******

My eyes fluttered up and I flinched at the sight of Adain hover over me. Without thought my hand flashed up and slapped him.

A dangerous growl ripped from his throat making me shrink back in fear. He turned to me his eyes black.

"Sidney don't ever do that again understand me." Adain said quietly obvious strain in his voice.

I nodded quickly feeling a lump forming in my throat.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Finally he opened his eyes and gave me a hard look.

"I understand your upset and I know this was the wrong way for you to find out but I am still me and so or the girls. They are still your daughters and they still need you."

He nodded.

"Thats for life right? You won't leave me for a female wolf?"

He chuckled deeply and shook his head. "The touch of another female makes me physically sick." He told me rubbing my arms. I smiled brightly at this making him laugh. Considering how I had felt earlier I think I was taking this whole werewolf thing considerably well.

"Is this why the girls took so well to you?"

He nodded. "The wolf inside them knew I was their father as they know instinctively your their mother."

"So there are people I know that are also wolves?"

"Most of the people in this town are wolves only a few or human like you but since you are my mate you are above them all even though you have no wolf of your own."

"Is Mike a wolf?"

"Yes he is and I don't want him over here when I'm not."

I nodded and tilted my face my up so he could slant his mouth against mine.

Just as he is was getting into it my brothers voice broke it.

"Woah Sidney what the hell?"

I broke away from Adain my face red. I hadn't seen my brother in a long time and he had no idea that Adain was in my life or that I was pregnant again.
