After my tutoring was over I would quietly make my way over to the gym and train, train for hours until my muscles protested from the lack of rest. Finally when the day was over I would submerge into a large tub of ice to chill the aches consuming my body. However, today was much different. Today father had personally requested that I meet him in his study. Walking the large dim hall I felt my gut knot with curiosity as I made my way through, down the steps and towards the large mahogany doors before me.
"You called for me?" I said, making my way inside.
"Take a seat Gunner," father said, his eyes still glued to the paperwork over his desk. I took a quiet seat, waiting to be addressed once again. Finally, father set his reading glasses down and pinched the bridge of his nose before letting out a small breath.
"First off, how are things son, are you ready for this weekend?" he asked.
I nodded, my gut clenching and unclenching. I was nervous, overly nervous to meet my future Luna. I knew she was going to be beautiful, centuries of stunning Luna's had proven as much. However, my fear was that she would fail to fill the little details that needed to be occupied.
"Well son, today is your lucky day, I have been keeping tabs on your hormone levels and I think it's about time you let out a little bit of steam, this time however, I'll allow you to step foot outside of home, go look for a good time but know your limits. We don't want you disgracing yourself before the full moon." He chuckled.
I sat there a little surprised and confused. "This is a joke," I stated, standing from my chair.
"No it's not Gunner, here have the keys to my personal car, but don't do your business on my back seat. There are plenty of fine hotels all around the area," he replied.
"Father, I am flattered, but I think I'm going to let this one pass. I want to save this energy for the night I will share with my Luna." I replied, scooting the keys back to him.
He smirked as he took them, placing them back into his coat. "Very well, I can understand that, makes the moment so much more intense and well memorable if I might add."
"Don't need to have those kinds of images in my head dad," I responded, knowing to what he was referring. "What mom and you do at your own time stays there."
"Well then if you are not going to let out a stiffy my work here is done. Have a great time taking a cold shower," he replied, standing from behind his desk.
I scoffed as he walked past me, shutting the door quietly behind him. I stood there a moment starring at family portraits on the wall. I stared into Jeremiah's face and felt envy overpower my senses as I looked at him. He had no idea just how easy he had it.
Don't get me wrong, I loved preparing to become and Alpha, I just didn't like the solitude that came with it. Large restrictions were also included. I wasn't allowed to have a cell phone, to make friends, much less sow my royal oats like I had heard Jeremiah do numerous times from across the hall. If I was feeling the need to release stress father would arrange a time and date for me. An escort would be led to a secluded area in the mansion where she would proceed to entertain me.
