He pressed a hand to my mouth and shoved me into my room, slamming the door behind him he locked it and turned to look in my direction.

"I know what you are thinking Gunner," he said.

I shook my head trying to compose my thoughts. This whole time I had been preparing myself not only for my nation but for my Luna as well.

"There has to be some kind of mistake," I protested. I took a seat on my bed and covered my head, trying hard to gather my thoughts.

"There is no mistake, Mindy is your Luna...and I know come this weekend you'll reject her," he said, his voice growing saddened.

"This can't be happening, father did not prepare me for this," I hissed, rising from my seat. I began to pace my overly large bedroom, trying to think of excuses as to why I had picked up her scent.

"An Alpha always has and always will know his Luna by her fertile scent," Jeremiah said, almost as if reading my thoughts.

"What does she smell like to you?" I asked, in hopes that he'd say she smelled stale as well.

"Mindy has always carried a scent of wild berries, it's a lotion she uses on her skin," he replied.

I sighed looking down to my shoes. "What am I going to do?" I asked.

"I don't know Gunner, I suggest you talk to dad before you go breaking poor Mindy's heart," he said.

"What about you?" I asked. I felt my gut twitch with a new emotion as I looked at Jeremiah stare right at me. As of yesterday she and him where officially a couple, and it had been my awful honesty that had brought them together. You're jealous, my mind ranted. Great! I hadn't even known she was my mate for five minutes and already I was feeling the kneed to rip my brother's head off. Shifting from foot to foot to try and ease the anger slowly building in the back of my head I diverted my eyes elsewhere.

"What about it Gunner? It's obvious you don't want Mindy, therefore I don't have a problem in my hands," he replied.

He was pinned to the wall, the action happening so quickly I suddenly realized I was smashing my forehead hard against his. I reacted, dropping him down to the ground. He simply adjusted his shirt and growled in my direction to see the giant rips I had made.
