"Living like a human?" I spat at him. It wasn't supposed to come out as harsh as it did, but I wasn't complaining. Just because he wasn't normal didn't mean that he could go around picking on my kind, and though thought scared me. There are two types of species roaming this planet. One of them people didn't know existed.

"Yes like a human." He confirmed, his eyes softening a bit when he realised he offended me. "All cars and TV's and famous people and criticizing people and putting everyone down. Humans and all their technology will be the reason the world ends." He said and I just glared at him.

"You hate humans?" I asked.

"All wolves do."

"I'm a human."

"I don't hate you."

"You should. All wolves hate humans." I mimicked in the same harsh tone as him.

"I can't." He said, his eyes softening the slightest bit but his voice stayed equally harsh.

"You will."

"No Alana, I physically can't. The bond won't let me." He explained.

"Fuck the stupid bond." I muttered under my breath forgetting about his heightened hearing.

"That's enough!" He roared, standing to his feet and thumping the table loudly. Instantly, I backed away from him, wide eyes in fright and my heart thumping in a fast, unsteady pace. "Stop questioning the bond!" He hissed.

"I-I'm s-sorry," I stuttered from fright. Way to go Alana, I mentally cursed. Piss off the werewolf why don't you?! I spat mentally.

"Sorry doesn't fucking cut it!" He yelled. "Just accept it for fucks sake. It's not that difficult." His eyes flashed bright red that had me cowering back even further in fear.

He was glaring at me with such anger in his eyes I was frozen to the spot. My mouth was opening and closing, my brain drawing a blank on what to say. The way he was looking at me though was as if he expected me to say something.

"Are you going to say something?" he spat, confirming my thoughts. "Or will you just sit there?" Every word he spoke his eyes became red. Starting from a low glow and by the end his eyes were bright orbs of red.

"Y-your e-eyes." I stuttered, pointing a shaky finger at his face. "T-there r-red." Even though I had seen them red many times before it still freaked me out.

Watching with your eyes (normal ones, may I add) somebody's eyes turning naturally red was something I couldn't grasp. It just wasn't normal. This whole situation wasn't normal.

"You wouldn't have to worry about my eyes turning fucking red if you just accepted this and stopped being so scared of everything about me!" He shouted. Through the bright red orbs, the emotion of pain was evident. I don't think he even bothered trying to hide how I was hurting his feeling.

"P-please. Just stop them f-from being r-red." I stuttered. I heard him utter a fuck and cover his face in his hands, rubbing over his face to calm him down. After a minute of pure torture of being silent, not sure if he would snap again, he finally uncovered his face and looked at him. His eyes showed remorse, and nothing but.

"Are you okay?" he was frantic.

"Yeah." I answered in a small voice.

"What happened?"

"Nothing, it's all good." As soon as I said this, he exhaled a large puff of air we both didn't realise he was holding. His eyes instantly softened, and his posture relaxed slightly. And what he did next shocked me.

Michael tugged me into him, embracing me in his strong arms that were wrapped around me tightly; one around my waist and the other caressing my back. Although the feel was one of the best hugs I've ever had, I still tensed.

"The rule," I poorly complained. Michael didn't loosen his grip or let me go, he only tightened his hold.

"Please," he pleaded with me. "This is the way I know your safe." He said. "Please let me hold you," he repeated over and over again.

And slowly I felt myself melting into the hug. As soon as my body relax, Michael's did the same. The next thing I know, I felt my arms raising from my sides and wrapping them around Michael's muscular torso. I leaned in placing my cheek on his chest and we both tightened our hold on each other. He breathed in a big gasp of air through his nose, and if I wasn't wrong, he just inhaled my scent.

Creepy, but I'll let it slide this once.
