I felt scared because I knew it was a werewolf, something that I have only just came to accept, but then I also felt amazed. It was incredible that a person could merge themselves and turn into another shape, let alone species in just mere seconds. As the wolf grew nearer it paused as soon as it was fully out of the forest but the shadows of the trees was still semi hiding it. The deep brown eyes held me captive as I felt myself slowly rising to my feet and making my way down the porch.

The bright green grass felt soft and relaxing under my feet as I slowly padded over to the wolf, but the closer I got to it, the more the fear stayed and the amazement disappeared until it was all gone without a trace. The deep brown eyes were not the familiar I thought they were and as soon as I was close enough to see that, my heart stopped.

Another low growl sounded and this time I knew it was supposed to be intimidating and was to be taken as a threat. The wolf took a slow step towards me and stood with the sun shining down on him. It was a black wolf, not a dark brown one and now with the right lighting there was a clear difference between the wolf in front of me and Michaels wolf I saw on the first day meeting him.

The steps it was taking was torturously slow and it knew it. It was threatening, and the wolf knew I understood when it smirked at the sight of me gulping in fear.

Why? Why do you have to be so stupid Alana? I scolded myself in my mind. If you see a fucken wolf you don't go up to it, you idiot!

With each step it took closer to me, my heart beat increased faster and faster until I finally managed to snap out of it. I took a small step back, my eyes never leaving the beast in front of me that was just waiting for the right moment to attack. Michael wasn't due back for about half an hour so he would be long gone, and I was told none of the pack came out here because they didn't like rogues so help wasn't close by.

Instantly the thought that I'm going to die right now crossed through my mind. My heart beat was racing and I was feeling all hot and bothered. The temperature around me just increased another 30 degrees it felt like, my palms were sweaty and I literally had no thoughts on what to do.

My mind was blank.

The black wolf took another step towards me that I matched with a step backwards. As soon as I want to take another step backwards, another growl came from it but this time it more threatening as if it was starting to lose patience and was sick of teasing me.

Shit.

The injured wolf lowered his head in what looked like surrender but I couldn't be too sure. Michael's eyes were pinned on only the wolf, like he was stalking his prey and ready for the take down. Immediately the thoughts of him killing all those other wolves came to mind and I automatically gasped. Quickly I threw my hand over my mouth to muffle the sound.

He promised not to kill anymore as long as it was necessary but right now it wasn't. His already injured the wolf, but that was enough. The smaller wolf may have been in the wrong about threatening me but death is too harsh of a punishment.

"Michael," I softly said, cautious of him. As soon as his eyes snapped and met mine, the bright red dimmed down slightly and he confirmed my thoughts about the brown wolf being Michael.

"Remember our promise," I spoke softly. "No killing anymore. Not unless is needed." I continued. He just stared at me and I was wondering if he could even understand me. He didn't blink, but I watched as his eyes slowly turned from bright red into the deep brown eyes once again.
