I sat down on the couch and tears rolled down. Why does this happen to true lovers? Why are there so many problems, so many troubles and obstacles?
Why can't we stay together even after we were engaged from so long and even married?
I took a deep breath and calmed my nerves. I knew to get over all this, I needed to meet Lara. She will probably help me get over all this once again.
I don't know what to feel right now. Maybe I should be happy that he loves me and that he is gonna come back and love me.
But I guess I would rather be sad that this all is happening to us.
I decided to call Lara. I don't know what was up, but I guess in all this, I didn't wanna take a chance to call her and ruin things. But I guess I can call her now.
I called her.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey? Ashley?"
"Y-yeah Lara!"
"Oh my God, how are you?" She seemed excited.
"I am good, Lara... how are you!?"
"I am great"
"That's... so good. I missed you Lara"
"I missed you too, but tell me, is it safe to talk to me?"
"Yes, it is, Lara... it feels so good to talk to you after so long..."
"Yeah... Now tell me seriously... How does he treat you?"
"Good... actually good. But now..." I sighed. "I wanna tell you everything but the phone is not trustable. How about you come, or maybe I will come there...?"
"Oh wow, sure. I will come tomorrow!" She sounded so happy. I love her so damn much. She is literally the example of the best sister one can have.
"Oh I am so excited!" I smiled.

I woke up after a few hours. It was 6 PM. I can't believe I slept for so long. Almost 6 hours.
I washed my face and combed my hair. I was happy now. I was all positive and ready to meet her tomorrow. This is like the best thing that could have happened right now.
I changed my clothes into something better because I wanted to feel good. I turned the music on, like I mostly do when I wanna feel good. Taylor Swift's "you belong with me" was playing. It was awesome.
I thought about how so much time has crossed since I last met lara. It was at our wedding. I mean, it is so good to be married--- uh... we are divorced, but we know what the reality is. We are married by heart, aren't we? How can a piece of paper mean anything? I know that he loves me and I love him more than anything and that is all that matters.
I looked around the house. I know I am gonna miss him, but I will be fine soon, After all, he is gonna come back soon.
The doorbell rang and I was shocked. She couldn't have made it so fast, right?
I smiled at myself in the mirror and checked my dress once and started going once. I went to the door and took a deep breath.
I opened the door and I was dead shocked. What? Why?
"Ashley" I heard Chris.
