Vincent
I was going crazy after what Lara said. I couldn't believe that thought even crossed Ashy's mind. I mean, we were past this, weren't we?
I started going to my base because it was difficult to stick around while this was happening. As I drove, I remembered that I left abruptly and maybe she would be wondering why I did so. I should have said something that made sense but I was completely fucked up at that instant. It was like all the trust suddenly vanished.
I decided to go back and tell her. She would worry about nothing.
I reached my house and got out. I sighed. it is okay, everything will sort out as it always has.
I rang the doorbell and Lara opened the door. "Hey Lara"
"Hey Vincent... uh..."
"Where's Ashy?"
"She, uh..." she sighed. "Well, do you want me to be honest?"
"Absolutely"
"She went with... someone new... I mean... I-I mean that--"
"Someone new?" I laughed. I was really feeling... I don't know. I didn't feel like angry at this point, I just wanted to laugh. "Who?"
"uh... they told you... I mean, told me to tell you--"
"Can I call her? I really wanna see how she puts up the act now"
"Uh..." she sighed. "See, she wasn't acting--"
"I don't wanna yell at you. Can I call her or would she be making out with him? I really don't wanna listen her moaning--"
"You can" she cut me in between. "I-uh... nothing. You can"
I took out my phone. My laugh vanished as I heard Chris' voice as soon as the call was picked. It could have been anyone, Ash. Not Chris. I hate him.
"We want you to come to the address given, in ten minutes"
The call ended and now I was burning in anger. I will see what changed, Ashley. But I really want you to have an explanation.
I can't bear this.
I strode towards my car and took off to the address. I don't know what they want. Money, power. I don't even care.
To be honest, I don't even want her.
I want to know why she did it.
I reached the place in just two minutes because I was driving way too fast. I closed the door of my car with a thud, as I came out. I walked towards the building that was on the left, as it was mentioned in the message.
I didn't bother knocking at the door. I just opened it and saw them sitting on the couch. Ashley's head on his chest made my blood boil at an insane temperature.
I was feeling like I was gonna burst.
"Are you okay?" I felt like she wasn't feeling well.
"I am okay," she kept her hand down. "And it wasn't cheating. I was... it was something I did, I mean, I... well, I can't tell you, but really I just want you to trust me that I wasn't cheating"
"You know what," I took a step towards her. "I would have trusted you. If you would have trusted me"
"I... I trust you" she was confused, yet confident. "I trust you"
"Yeah?" I looked at Chris. "So when Chris told you that I raped women, you trusted me, huh?"
Her eyes were wide open and then they shut. She opened them slowly. "Vincent..."
"I can't believe you believed him"
"I just... Vincent..."
"You know what, Ashley? I was there, fighting for us, while you made a plan to hurt the hell out of me because of something your ex said! Because of something he said. Do you remember what he did to you? he left you when you needed him!"
"ENOUGH" I heard Chris. He pushed me. "How dare you say that?"
"What? Isn't it true?"
"It was Heather who made me believe the lies! It wasn't my fault!"
"Heather?" Vincent asked, while I was sure what she was talking about.
