Chapter 44
Killian’s POV
“I did. But what does that have to do with anything?” Zane asks from the floor. Addie sighs then sits back, eyeing Ziana warily.
“She should be okay soon. Only a person with the gift of electricity can pull her out of this state quicker than normal. Or Sirena, if she can get through to her mind. If anybody else tries then they get electrocuted.” She
explains.
“Being called angel is a trigger. Isn’t it?” Zane asks, pain lacing his voice.
“Yes. That was her name after she turned 8. Angel short for their angel of death. Before then she didn’t have a name. None of the kids who grew up there did.” Addie explains and I pale. Angel of death? What the hell?
“Ziana.” I say, kneeling and pulling her to me. Gritting my teeth as electricity flows through me.
“Love.” Zane says, scooting closer and adjusting so that we both are holding her. The electricity calms
slightly.
“Try midlinking her. It will be more clear. Neither of you are dead, so she must know you’re safe.” Addie says and I huff, then try mindlinking Ziana.
“Ziana, darling I’m here. Please come back.” I say through the link, leaving it open for only me, Zane and her.
“We got you, love. You’re safe.” Zane says and the sparks lessen.
We continue coaxing her until the only sparks we feel are from the mate bond. Her breathing steadies, and
Addie eyes us.
“I’ll leave you, but if you need me let me know. I’ll check on her later.” She says, then nods to herself and transports out of the room. We continue to hold her in silence.
“Well. Um. This is awkward.” She says, and the relief I feel at hearing her voice is palpable. I pull back slightly to see her reddened face. Zane pulls back and cups her face so that she is looking at him.
“You should have told us not to call you that. I’m sorry. I didn’t know.” He says and my heart twists.
“Err.. My bad.” She says, then tries to remove herself from us. I grip her arm to keep her from getting up.
“Please. Don’t. My wolf is restless and we need you near us right now.” I beg and her eyes widen as she turns to me. She must see the war on my face because she nods and sits back down. Zane and I both move to hold her again. She’s moved so that her back is to me. My arms warp her torso, just under her breasts and my face is in the cook of her neck, where my mark sits. Zane’s arms wrap around her lower back as his head
rests where his mark on her other side sits.
She stiffens at the contact, but then relaxes in our hold.
“I’m sorry.” Zane murmurs again and she sighs.
“It’s fine. I’m okay.” She whispers, her hands going around him to comfort him. I’m slightly jealous of the contact, but not because it’s Zane. Tjust want her to touch me too.
“You scared us, darling.” I murmur against her ear. She inhales a breath and loops one of her hands around to
caress my hair. My wolf purrs in content
Then I smell it. The sweet scent of her arousal. Grim growls in approval, then pushes me to mate her
I go to pull away before he takes over, but her grip in my hair holds me in place.
“Please.” She says softly, before arching her back and pressing into me. Her head moves farther to rest on my shoulder, bringing me closer to her throat.
My eyes move to see Zane has leaned back. His hands on her hips as his eyes flicker from golden to black. He is fighting his wolf too.
Ziana’s POV
Coming back from the episode to my mates holding me was a nice comfort. One I didn’t know I longed for. Then the embarrassment kicked in and I tried to extract myself from them. When Killian asked me to stay! saw the pain, and panic still in his eyes and decided that since they helped me I would help them. I didn’t
expect that in trying to get up moved me so that I was between them perfectly.
The feel of their touch washed away any remnants of the attack and quickly turned to something else. With their hands on my body and the thought of how close they are had my n*****s pebbling and when they placed
their head in the crook of my neck, their breaths hitting their mate marks made my brain short circuit
Being sandwiched between them, my mates, goddess that is all I can think about. Their touch, their kiss,
their c*cks inside me. I’ve never been with two men at once, but I’ve had plenty of action back there.
Killian growls, then goes to pull away. Part of me knows I should let him, but something else takes over. This
deep need for him, for Zane, for us to be together. Fully. I pull on his hair to keep him in the crook of my neck.
“Please.” I whisper as I arch my back and lean my head on his shoulder. He stiffens, and Zane’s hold on my
hips tighten.
