"I can't do this. " I groan, staring at the celery I was going to eat for the fifth time.
He's been asking the weirdest, most personal questions and I think he's doing it on purpose.
Am I a virgin?
Of course, I answered.
Where did you lose it?
That I could not.
Where are your parents?
I refused to answer.
And many more that I immediately grabbed a stalk of celery for.
He only at like two, and that's when I asked about Mafia-related businesses.
"Okay, last one." He states as he spares my taste buds.
Besides the weird questions, we were simply getting to know each other,
His favorite color was actually red, he had one sibling, he likes pasta, he doesn't like pork, and he started one of his companies while he was 19.
"If you could work for me, would you?" he questions and I raise an eyebrow.
"Do you own a-"
"Ah, that wasn't the question."
"Well, it's sort of a strange question if you don't mind me stating... it all depends."
He nods, his eyes drifting away from mine as he sinks in thoughts. I cover up a yawn but of course, he notices.
"You're too cute, you know that?"
I offer him a shy smile before we get up and leave. His hand held onto mine, and I ignore the gesture, it was nothing.
Getting into the car the whole ride back, his hand was on my knee, once again I ignored the gesture.
"Thanks for tonight, I'm gonna go... throw up in my bathroom now." I joke as we enter and he chuckles from behind me.
"See you in the morning?"
"Only if the Lord permits." I wink, before entering my room, and placing a hand on my chest.
What was that?
You probably looked like you had something in your eye, you idiot! Groaning, I move away and plop down on my bed.
Is this the freedom I've been searching for?
"I'm good, Ms. Grey made me cookies after I ate all my watermelon." She giggles and I blow out a small breath.
"None for me?"
"I saved some, when are you coming to visit?"
"I thought you were too busy for me." I tease.
"You're right." She says in all seriousness and I chuckle.
"Can I bring a friend next time I'm visiting?"
"Is it the lady with the long pretty red hair?"
"Actually it is..." I grin, knowing how much she gushed about it after Ocean left.
"Bring her!" She screams and I move the phone from my ears a bit.
"Heard you loud and clear, I'll see you tomorrow sweet pea."
"Goodnight." She hums blowing a loud kiss.
"Good night." I murmur, blowing her one back and she hangs up.
One day I'll get you back, just hold on.
