Trevor's pov

"Mr. Vatore."

"Talk to me, Peter."

"We have reasons to believe that the investigator, Rasco, has found evidence to pin you to the murder of Mr. White." My jaw clenches and I hold the bridge of my nose.

"What are your reasons?"

"I believe someone on the inside is helping him because he found the warehouse where Mr. White was tortured. I followed him, in plans to just end whatever game he was playing but by the time I reached the warehouse ... he disappeared. "

"Disappeared?"

"Yes. He escaped. I'm not sure how he did, but I believe that someone alerted him of my presence."

"Did he find anything?" My eyes drifted to Ocean who sat on my lap, fast asleep.

"I'm not sure sir."

"Find him, and the first chance you get, kill him."

"Got it, have a safe flight." I end the call and resist the urge to kick at the chairs, mostly because Ocean would wake up and stare at me as if I was a mad man.

If it was really ocean behind all of this, why would she even look into Dain's murder? I thought she wanted him gone ... wouldn't anyone?

I wonder what would happen if she found out it I'm the murderer.

She knows I'm a killer though ... she was my therapist so she shouldn't be surprised...

The thought of her getting angry and even leaving me left an unsettling feeling in my stomach, especially since I just got here, I sigh and look down at her once more. I missed her natural red hair, these wigs were cute and all, but she always looked so perfect with her normal hair.

I push the negative thoughts away and focus on the positive. The fact that we were together, and that she was graduating, not to mention the gift I had for her I'm sure she would love it.

I had so much to show her, including the love that that deadbeat Dain could've never given.

She stirred in my arms, and slowly peeled her eyes open. She smiled warmly at me.

"How long was I out?" She asks, sitting up and I shrug, returning her smile.

"About a few hours."

"Are you alright? I didn't cramp your feet did I?"

"Nah," I shake my head and she relaxes into her seat. "Did you enjoy the trip?"

"Most of it."

"Would you ever go back?"

"For sure, I have so many more things to do there. Plus your mom would never forgive me if I didn't visit again." I chuckle.

"That's right."

"Hey ... I have a question." She bites her lip and I raise an eyebrow, getting distracted.

"Speak."

"Why wasn't Marie back in Italy? Or why isn't she? Why does your mother never mention her?"

Oh fuck.

I resist the urge to punch myself and just turn my head to look out the window.

"Trevor?" She calls softly. "It's okay you know ... to tell me."

I sigh heavily.

"Marie is not my sister ... or anything to me matter of fact, I killed her father, and her mother fled the country. She was only a baby, so I did what I had to, not wanting her to get tangled in all that foster mess."

"Oh." She mutters quietly, but I can see as she gulps harshly.

"I keep her at arm's length though; I don't want her to get too attached."

"Isn't it a little too late for that?"

"I don't know ... I hope not." I murmur.

"Why'd you kill her father?"

"He was a bad man. Not that I am a good man, but he had killed some of my men and I had to do what I had to." She nods slowly, trying to take in.

"But you're out of all of that now right? You've changed?"

"I don't know, you said it yourself, she's dangerous ... she might-"

"There's absolutely nothing to worry about as long as you're with me."

"But I'm not with you all the time ... I'm returning to school tomorrow and-"

"Don't worry about it Ocean. I'll have guards watching out for you." She sighs; nodding slowly and I couldn't help but feel as if things were a bit strained between us.

"Are you excited to be going back to school?" I try to enforce a conversation and she nods.

"I'm graduating in two months and I'm just ready."

"What're your plans for after?"

"Well, hopefully, find a job in my field and keep it." She shrugs.

"You'll have no trouble keeping it," I assure her and she chuckles.

"Do you not remember my-"

"You murderer!" Screamed an estranged looking lady from the doorway as everyone turned to look at her; she had tears running down her face, her hair was all over the place and well her clothes barely fit her.

"You won't get away with this! I promise you!" She continued screaming as my guards outside took her away and Ocean frowns. I clench my jaw, pulling out my phone.

Peter. Who is this woman?

Sister of the deceased sir. - Peter

Rasco's sister. I look up and find Ocean staring at me.

"Who is that?" She asks and I shake my head.

"I have no idea. But we should leave."

I slide out of the chair and help her out of hers.

"Trevor," She tugs me to a stop once we step outside. "No secrets right? You promised..."

I gulp and force a smile. "No secrets il mio amore."
