Riley's POV

Miranda.

I asked her, "Hey Miranda. What are you doing here?" She tried to explain why she was here but since she was panting so heavily, all I could make out was he regret or reject. I quickly let her in and brought her into the family room and then went to the kitchen to get her some water.

Then, I brought to it her and she drank it greedily. After her breathing was normal, I asked her once more, "What are you doing here Miranda?" When she looked up at me, she had tears in her eyes. I went to her and comforted her and asked, "What's wrong." She was silent for a few minutes but then, "I-I found my mate." I smiled at her but judging from the tears falling from her eyes, it can't be good.

"Who is it?" she started to tear up again but then she said, "Ryan Rangers. Zoe's older brother." I was shocked but then quickly asked her. "Then why are crying love? Did he do something wrong?"

Then she was sobbing hard. She said, "He *sob* rejected *sob* me." I froze in my seat and asked her through gritted teeth, "Why did he reject you?" She said, "I don't know! He wouldn't tell me! All he said was 'I don't want you to get hurt because of me.' What the hell does that even mean?!"

I was about to ask her something when my front door broke down.

BANG!

I quickly got up from my seat and went to peek to see who it was. It was a 6'3 guy who looked at least 28 and from his scent, he smelled like a rogue.

Damn it.

Miranda looked at me and I pointed to the kitchen and mouthed, "Run and get help." She nodded quickly and ran to the back door while I stood in front of this guy and said, "You know, it's very impolite to knock down someone else's door without permission." He growled at me and asked through gritted teeth, "Where's the bitch?" I gave him a confused look and said, "I have no idea what your talking about."

Danny's POV

I was pacing in my room thinking how to get Riley back. I let out a frustrated sigh and thought that I should just let her know about my feelings for her first and hope that she gives me another chance.

I quickly went into my ferari and drove there feeling absolutely nervous. I knew that I might get two reactions from her. The first one is that she believes me and gives me another chance. The second is that she'll just flip me off.

I really hope it's the first one.

When I reached her house and parked it, I was too busy thinking about her that I didn't notice her front door when I just walked through where the door was supposed to be.

Then I caught Riley's scent but it was very faint and also another scent. The colour drained from my face when I knew what it was.
