I sighed sadly while getting off him. That's the one thing I hate about being a warrior. You have to kill someone for your pack.

I quickly ran outside and came just in the nick of time because I saw Luke sneaking behind Danny. I had no time to shout at him so I did what I had to do. I ran towards Luke and wrapped the chain around his neck. He growled and snapped at me and tried to get me off his back. I held on for dear life and then Luke slowed down and fell. I quickly got off him and dropped to my knees.

I panted heavily and then I heard the cracking of bones. Then I heard a voice that made shivers run down my spine.

"Riley?"

I chuckled and got off the ground to face him. I replied sarcastically, "No it's the pizzaman. Who the heck do you think it is?" He rolled his eyes and said, "Yeah it's you."

I chuckled some more. "In the flesh." Then I got a real good look at him and flushed. I cover my eyes quickly and said, "Good lord at least cover that, that thing dangling." He chuckled and said, "I'm your mate as you are mine. You'll see this eventually."

I blushed and took my hands off my eyes and was about to retort but then I saw...

I quickly ran towards Danny and pushed him out of the way and felt the metal go through my stomach and fell down. Luke fell beside me and then I pulled the dagger from my stomach. I turned to him and said, "Say hi to Cherry for me Luke. Sweet dreams." Then I plunge the dagger straight into his heart and saw him took his last breath.

Then the pain from my stomach hit me and I groaned. "Riley!" I saw Danny run towards me and pick me up gently. I said while groaning, "God this hurts like a bitch. I feel so tired. I'm just gonna close my eyes for a sec." Then Danny replied, "No! Don't close your eyes Riley! I couldn't forgive myself if you left me. Please don't leave me Riley. Please." I looked up at him and saw tears run down his cheeks.

I cupped his left cheek. Regardless of the pain I'm feeling, seeing him crying, hurts me more. I said to him softly, "I won't ever leave you Danny. I'll be in your heart. Forever and Always." Then I gave him a sweet lingering kiss.

Then I pulled back and said what I have been feeling ever since I rejected him.

"I love you Danny. Always." His breath hitched and then he said something I didn't catch because I started falling into complete darkness.
