~Flashback~

I went in to Cherry's room and saw her cutting herself. "Cherry! What the heck do you think you're doing?!" She looked at me with sad eyes and said, "I know this is wrong Riley but, it helps to dull the pain that he is doing."

I said to her flatly, "Luke." She nodded and had tears in her eyes. "I don't know why he's doing this. I'm his mate. He's supposed to love me unconditionally."

I looked at my cousin and raged filled me. Before she even met that idiot, she was always happy. She always had laughing eyes but now, she looks so pale and depressed.

I said to her, "Why don't you just reject him? Tell your parents, his parents. Do something Cherry! Please!"

She said, "I can't Riles. I love him. I'd do anything just to see him happy and if he's happy fucking other girls, then so be it."

I was about to open my mouth when she started screaming. I quickly ran out of her room and ran to get her dad. I told him everything and both of us quickly went to her but, we were too late. The razor was cut straight into her wrist and it went straight to her vein.

I fell to my knees and and covered my face with my hands. Her dad looked completely heartbroken. When I looked up, I saw piece of white paper scrunched into a ball in her left hand. I pulled it out and read it. It said,

Dear family,

I'm sorry for leaving you but I just couldn't take the pain he was giving me. I wanted to reject him so badly but I just couldn't.

To mom and dad,

I love you guys so much. You light up my world like nobody else. I'm sorry for leaving you. I know this will break your heart but promise me that you will try to be happy. I'll be watching over you. Weird. Usually it's the parents who are supposed to watch over us XP.

Thank you for always being there for me love. I will love you forever and a day. I really wished that I could be there when you meet your mate. Sorry for leaving you so soon Riley. Btw, if your mate happens to reject you, show him who's boss ;).
