Sofia came into the classroom sobbing, she was so upset, she had bags under her eyes to show that she had been crying for a very long time.

Her friends went towards her to console her, and it made the class a little bit rowdy. I did actually admire the fact that those little children cared about their classmate even at their tender age.

I watched them and suddenly became very emotional almost tearing up.

"Okay guys, thank you so much, you can head back to your seats now" I said while clapping my hands signifying that they should go back to their seats.

I went towards the direction of Sofia and held her hands while walking her out of the classroom. I took her to the cafeteria and left the class in the hands of my assistant.

When we arrived at the cafeteria I placed her on the table while I sat on the chair. She was crying, her face was red and her body was a bit hot. Tears flowed from her eyes down to her cheeks very freely.

"Talk to me baby, what happened?" I asked her while I cleaned her tears with my thumb.

"Pa-pa hat-es me, he said I was -a mis-tak-e, he sa-id he doesn't lo-ve me " she replied and immediately burst into tears all over again.

I looked at her with pity, at that point in my life I just wanted to have her as my child, adopt her and shower her with all the love from my heart. She looked like someone who had been going through a lot. It's funny to say because she is just a child of barely five years and she is already "going through stuff".

Her father needed to know how to train a child. All a child needs is love, despite the fact that he or she might be naughty. And I know Sofia very well, she is obedient.

"Oh my God" I replied in shock while I brought her head towards my chest and I stroked her hair.

She sobbed for quite a long time. She looked pale and I just wondered what kind of sick father would say such a thing to a little girl who knew nothing about anything.

I walked her back to class after she calmed down a bit, she seemed happy for a while, but I noticed that she was not as jovial as she usually was.

Lunch time came and everyone began eating, So I decided to have lunch too. I brought out my apple, I was about to eat it when I noticed that Sofia was not eating. She just laid her head on the table.

I walked towards her slowly and bent down. " Sofia" I said very softly while I laid my hands on her arms.

"Yes Miss Athena" she replied while raising her head up.

"Why aren't you eating?" I asked giving her a puzzled look.

"My papa didn't give me anything to eat, he lied to nana that I was okay" she said very sadly.

"Oh my" I said putting my hands on my chest "would you like an apple ?"

"Apple?"she said very happily

"Yes, an apple"

"I would love to have an apple"

I immediately rushed to my seat and gave her the apple I was about to eat.

When I gave it to her I saw how happy she was. Like I was a superhero who just saved her life.

"Thank you Miss Athena" she mumbled under her breath while eating the apple like it was the only food she had eaten since the last five days.

I went back to my seat and began thinking about her. Thinking about how innocent she was. Why she had to go through all those problems at such a very young age. Things like that could make a child get depressed when he or she finally grows up. And they wouldn't be able to love because they weren't showed love when they were younger.

I thought to myself and I made up my mind to meet her father and talk to him about how he was treating Sofia. He needed to shower her with all his love!

After school closed. Children normally played around, and within 15-30 minutes their parents or guardian come to pick them up.

Unlike every child Sofia, was the last child remaining, She sat on her seat quietly. I approached her and asked Sofia who would take her home and she told me that her dad's driver will take her home. So I decided to wait for the driver to come pick her up then I could follow her to her house.

School closed around 1pm . She had already waited for about an hour and her dad's driver never showed up.

Sofia was already getting restless, she was already hungry. We waited for about an hour later and still no sign of him.

"Miss Athena" she said with tears in her eyes when she couldn't take it anymore.

"Yes baby" I replied almost crying as well

"I'm hungry, please I want to eat" she said while the drop of tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Baby please don't cry, please, you'll make me cry too, I'll get you some food but please promise me that you wouldn't cry again " I knelt down and cleaned her face.

"I promise"

I held her hands and took her to a cafe opposite the school there she ordered an hamburger with chips and Avocado paste and an Orange juice.

I watched her while she ate her meal, she looked so graceful and cute. Things like that made major importance in my life.

"Sofia, did you have breakfast this morning?" I thought and then asked her.

"No, I didn't " she said trying to focus on holding her hamburger with her tiny hands.

As those words left her mouth I wanted to kill her father so bad, I just wanted to kick his balls and tell him how much of a jerk he was. I was burning with fire and I wanted to rage it all out on him.

When she finished eating, she asked me if she could call her dad. She gave me his number and I dialed the number on my phone, when he answered I gave the phone to Sofia .

"Papa, where are you?" She said with a very shaky voice. She was afraid.

"Whose phone is this?" He said dryly.

"It's for Miss Athena"

"Ohh so now you're stealing your teachers phone right?"

"No papa, she gave me"

"Okay, why are you calling me?"

I felt sad for her. It hurts me to see her that way.

We both walked to school and about twenty minutes later we arrived at the school premises and I found her father's leg out his Bugatti.

His legs looked perfect, it was the kind of leg a guy would die to have, and a woman would die to touch. I coughed when we got to his car, but he pretended like he did not see us. After one long minute of standing there and he pressing his phone seriously he finally looked up.

"Oh, hey pretty" he said touching Sofia's cheeks and smiling so sweetly.

"Oh please cut the crap!" I lashed out.

"Sofia darling can you please get into the car?" I told her very nicely. She obeyed me and went into the car.

When I noticed she had entered I continued "what kind of shitty father are you?"

"I have no idea of what you're saying!" He said back in anger.

"Look you can't behave to this girl like this, she is just a child!"

"Look, woman if it's about that girl then just forget it. I have very important things to do" he said then closed his car door and drove off immediately.

"What an ungrateful thing" I thought to my self loudly. He didn't even say a simple thank you to me for staying with his daughter. This man had real guts.

I walked back home and the thought just occurred to me to check out her father on Instagram. I opened my phone and inserted the name "Manchester" in the search bar, the first few options were about the football club. I didn't get as much information as I wanted so I went back to Google and searched for Manchester.

I gasped immediately I saw words like "the business tycoon","billionaire daddy"and so on and so forth.

The note under him read: Williams Manchester, the business tycoon of New York City. He has many multimillionaire shares in the petroleum, cotton, cocoa and any natural resources all over the world. Ranging from Africa to Asia to China and back to New York.

Woah! I gasped and almost dropped my phone, I had to absorb all that.

Schools like where I teach aren't the kind that billionaire kids attend. Infact it's not meant for billionaire kids, it's too shabby.

Despite the fact he was didn't rich give him the right to mistreat his daughter.

Where was her mother anyways? I know for a fact that if her mother was alive and responsible, she wouldn't allow him to treat her that way. She could probably be dead. Most billionaires' wife are usually dead, well not really most.

Indiretly, Sofia was a billionaire's daughter. Happiness really doesn't come come from having all the riches in the world. One can be rich yet sad and the other could be poor and happy.

A thought flashed through my mind.

What if I asked to be his wife?

What if I could be Sofia's mother?
