I sang to Zoe trying to make her sleep. Just as she was about to close her eyes Tristan shouted, I'm home and she got up and started jumping up and down with excitement.

Zoe is only 8 months and loves being hyper especially during the night times she never likes sleeping all she does is play and I am forced to stay her all night watching her play. In the daytime, it's even worse because that is all she does. And I never get the time to sleep or even to do the house duties around the house because of her, she is a big blessing but can be very tiring.

I lifted Zoe from her cot as she was still jumping up and down and put her on my hip. She always got so excited every time she heard or saw Tristan. We went down stairs and as soon as Zoe saw Tristan she screamed "Dada, Dada" as she reached her tiny arms to Tristan, as her little body tried to wriggle its way out of my grip.

"Zoe" he shouted loosening his tie as he walked towards us.

Tristan took Zoe from my arms and started playfully kissing her whole face which made her laugh. Tristan adored Zoe, she is daddy's girl and enjoys playing with him all the time.

He throws her in the air which I absolutely hate "hey be careful with my baby" I scolded him

Tristan is such a good father, whenever he comes back from work he is so tired from running a huge company but always has extra energy just for Zoe. It was like whenever she heard a noise she would jump and be active, but the good thing was that she always kept me on my toes which was nice sometimes.

"Isn't she supposed to be sleeping right now" he asked me as Zoe was laughing

"Well yes, but then you came and well here we are. You know how she excited she gets when she hears your voice. Now, it will take ages to get her to sleep, but that's now on you" I said and chuckled as I walked to the kitchen to warm up Tristan food.

"Well, I went clothes shopping for Zoe; can you believe that she has grown out of most of her clothes, even some of the ones I got a month ago? She is growing too fast if you ask me" I said

"Yes, she is' he said looking at her as she played on the floor.

"Anyway, after that, I did the laundry, I ironed most of the clothes so am pretty much wasted" I replied as I gave Tristan his food

"Why don't you just hire help? You do look tired" he said

"Well, it keeps me busy, it's better than me sitting running after Zoe the whole day" I said

"Ok, it is really up to you. If you don't want to get help, then..." he shrugged.

Zoe started crying while rubbing her eyes. "My little princess wants to sleep now doesn't she" I said lifting her up and putting her on my laps. I started breastfeeding her as I rocked her to sleep

"Babe when are you going to stop breastfeeding? Zoe is eight months for crying out loud" he said sounding frustrated

Tristan looked at me and shook his head. I knew exactly why he did that.
