I connected my butt to the sofa seat as I kicked my boots off sighing in relief. I didn't even bother to remove the snow filled coat from my body, I was to frozen and, tired to do so. I hated snow. God, I even hated the sun. I was just that type of person to hate everything. I sat there for a bit staring at the fireplace in front of me as the glow from the fire lit up half of the room's darkness. The little warmth helped me, melting the snow on my shoulder as I sniffed at the foul wet dog smell. I sighed pushing myself up from the soft throwing the coat on the floor. The door flew open, letting a forceful draft of cold air and snow in. I shivered pushing my body against the wind as I shut the door once more. Before long I had realized I had walked into some cold liquid, I assumed it was melted snow from the jacket but, even if it was cold, it had a little warm feeling in different places.

Then the smell again hit me, the wet, mammal, scent inflating my nostrils. I took a step back as the fire place light grew dim, the wind from before nearly putting it out of its original glow. From the dark corner of the room a snarl appeared, one of annoyance and hunger. I shifted on my footing dashing to the door, swinging it back open. Hard, sharp claws scratched against the floor board fighting for grip; as the furry figure pounced into the air tackling me out of the door way and into the snow. The dark blue eyes staring down at me as it snapped. I pushed up, trying to get the wolf off me, struggling in the cold and against the beast. A howl secreted from behind me as the silky brown wolf looked up taking it's attention from me and to the owner of the howl. I swear I nearly died as the wolf walked over to the black wolf behind. I rolled over staring as they walked in a circle but in opposite direction trying to figure out who was going to make the first move. "Chance!" I looked up at the boys running to me, one shifting into a spotted wolf joining the black wolf. The brown wolf backed down growling angrily at the pack members. Milo helped me to my feet giving me his jacket, "Are you okay?"

I nodded in embarrassment. This was the 8th time this month the pack literally had to come save me from another attack from enemies spawns. Even though I was apart of the pack, I was still the weakest wolf. For some reason I couldn't control my warps. When ever I tried, I would open my eyes and see myself still in human form. This was the main reason why they wouldn't let me hunt with the pack. Not only was I the weakest but my Father is chief of this pack. And my younger brother, is already 3rd strongest in the tribe. Milo patted me on the back, I guess in sympathy, but I didn't need anyone's pity! I never asked to be born in this damn forsaken world! "Chance," Austin walked up to me, putting on a shirt one of the boys gave him. I stared, mesmerized by his muscular tone until the shirt covered it all. He grabbed my ear yanking and tugging me away from Milo and the others walking in the direction of the 'camp site'. "Didn't I tell you to stay put you pest?" I groaned as my ear throbbed to be released from the torture.

"Sorry sorry!" He sighed still dragging me along. Austin, the strongest out of us all and the Alpha under my father was the black wolf. The one driving that damn crazy brown wolf away, damn I hated those Xylouris bastards! They've been picking on me since they heard the rumor about the chiefs son not being able to shift properly. Austin tugged at me ear again causing me to let out a sharp yelp.

"You even whine like a weakling." He hissed dragging me along through the cold. I shivered at the wind knowing exactly what he was about to say. "Why are you-"

"Yes, we grew up playing this game so why stop?" I snapped jumping down and walking from him.

"Sorry," He followed me, geez! Could he not tell I was trying to get rid of him!? I picked up my pace but it only backfired when I realize he was still walking normal right alongside of me. I growled running over to the Elder's tent searching for my brother, last thing I need was sympathy.
