"What do you think you're doing?"

"Claiming the prey I rightfully caught." Austin gritted his teeth lashing his fist at the alpha who easily dodged it. The demonic grin oh his face sent my pack in shock, taking the free opening he shifted tackling Austin to the ground. I screamed as Silas tried to stop it but the Alpha's ganged in more snapping and pouncing at us all. Austin tried to shift but the teeth sinking into his arm made him release a painful cry. I panicked wanting to help Silas, Milo, and Austin but I couldn't. Even when Jett and Forrest tried to join in to fight them off we were greatly out numbered.

The big grayish wolf tugged at Milo's leg trying to drag him away as I slapped his snout, "GET AWAY!" I didn't know if I was hearing right or the panic got to my ears but the wolf laughed. My body trembled as I looked down at Milo, his face completely pale, his once pink lips turning purple as the tears fell freely. The blood on my arm left his strong scent all over me as I pushed the wolf back once more shifting as I snapped at him. The wolf backed up in surprise, only taking in the situation in a short amount of time before charging at me. The blow to my side lifted me from the ground as my body smacked hard against the tree. I let out a whimper. Looking over at the black wolf who was out numbered by many tried fighting back. I exhaled trying to push myself to stand, the ribs in my sides cracked sending me to flop back onto the ground in pain. A warning howl secreted from the air as my eyelids grew heavy. My body grew stiff as I closed my eyes, my brain fully shutting down from the impact of the blow.

The burning pain in my side woke me from my sleep. I tried to sit up but was pushed down by a gentle pair of small hands, "Please don't try to sit up." The small voice said smoothly that sounded like a lullaby. I nodded laying my head back fully as the hands traced over my torso, I winced as she apologized, "This is going to sting a bit..." Something hot pressed hardly against my ribs causing excruciating vibes to shoot down both of my sides, a crack filled the air as I gasped out in pain bring my leg up. I dug my hand into the cushion under me as another bone popped back in place and then other causing tears to form at the verge of my eyes. She stopped moving away shuffling through something before she returned spreading something cool against my skin. "This shall help the swelling go down."

I nodded relaxing my tense muscles as I slowed my breathing to its original pace, "Who are you...?"

"Calm down..." Austin breath, his soothing voice finally made way into my ears shutting me up. I stayed on the table trembling as the pain from the viscous struggle(which I didn't have a chance on winning) ached through my body. Austin inhaled deeply before speaking, "Milo, is okay...well not okay but alive- for the most." My heart sat back relaxing a little as the tears began to cease, "He lost a lot of blood so he's in a bad condition," the worry expression on my face must have been visible due to his change of tone, "But, I'm sure he's going to be alright...!"

"What...happened to the others?" I asked nodding as he started to wipe away the tears that were drying out.

"The Pyloric's Chiefs." he stated sighing in relief, "Today was their tribe awareness, and I'm glad it was." I nodded once more before noticing the scratches on his face and the bruises that scattered around on his arms. Sitting up, I took his face in my hand, the shocked expression on his face saying it all as I brushed gently at the fresh marks.
