"Are you okay...?" I asked completely scared, I've never seen that much blood come out of someone's nose before. My body was shaking as I watched him sit down on the bed holding the cloth to his nose. The cloth immediately became soaked with blood as I rushed over getting him another one. Oh my God... I could feel tears staining my cheeks as he filled up another cloth with blood.

Wiping his bloody hands on a cloth he dropped it in the pill of the ones he created before placing his clothes back on and getting another cloth to hold his blood. "This is ridiculous."

"I'm sorry..." His blue eyes glanced up into my hazel which was boarded by mini rivers of tears. "This is my fault... I shouldn't have asked...-"

"Stop apologizing over something that's not your fault." I nodded wiping away my tears growing silent. My chest felt as if it had sunken in, leaving my throat dry as I couldn't find anything ensuring to say. I tried to get him another cloth but Austin stopped me, his free hand holding my trembling hands.

"Why are you shaking? There's nothing to be scared for. I knew this was going to happen, I just didn't know it was going to be like this."

I looked at him confused, my nose red from crying to myself. I tried to speak but when I did, my voice cracked, "What?"

He looked at me grinning sheepishly under the cloth that dangled from over his nose. "I kind of... sorta knew... that there would be consequences, but I didn't know what they would be if we went against the law."

"Austin! What the hell! Why didn't you just tell me know then!?" He shrugged finally dropping the cloth as he stopped bleeding. An heavy sigh escaped me as I felt somewhat guilty. Why the hell did I ask for things that I knew I can't have? Ugh. And not only that, this was really getting annoying. So many regulations on living, dammit. I crawled onto the bed glancing at Austin as he watched my body movement. Honestly I felt like shit, all that blood he lost was really...my fault.

"I am," he grinned as I walked over to him, following him out of the tent. "By the way, you're tail is fluffed out." I growled grabbing it to keep it from wagging everywhere. He didn't have to tell me that! I blushed at the teasing which my cheeks simply grew cold once the cold air hit us. I shivered shuffling my feet through the snow. Austin grabbed my hand causing my tail to pop out of my other hand and wag furiously. "oh my God, this is priceless."

"Stop, I can't help it..." Austin pulled me to him, his lips grazing my ear, which in a weird way warmed me up. "Why do you have to go?"

"Cause, I promised Nero I would help out, its the least I can do after he took us into his tribe." I groaned in sadness wanting to just punch Nero in the face. Not only was he an asshole, but he didn't want Austin with me. He's rude too!! Like seriously, why are you snorting at me!? Ugh! Austin detected the change of emotions on my face, "Listen, you won't even know that I'm gone. You'll be training with Karla a lot so you'll be totally distracted. By the time I'm back you wouldn't think it been 4 days."

"That's easy for you to say, you're not going to be going through hell to shift."
