I dropped the meat, as well as others as he raced out of the forest, most shifting and seeing what was happening. Even without sight, without clearing viewing what was happening, the cold thick air itself tasted like death, it was an attack. After all this time, they are not attack the pylorics? Why!? WHAT WAS THIS!? WHO WAS BEHIND THIS!?

I Shifted, the death air soaring through my black fur as I entered the campsite. Fire was everywhere. The white snow was orange and black with shades of killings and filled with ashes. Wolves storming in from left and right, teeth planting into skin, claws slashing, and screaming erupting. It didn't make sense. The pylorics had so much coverage, so why were we going down now?

I know I was wrong for this, but I ran straight to Chance's tent. In the process I tried to help many but... if Chance was hurt... I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. I pushed passed some wolves. Having to fight my way pass, having to kill some, it was nothing. At this point, the blood splattering didn't matter this time. Let all the blood be slashed on me, but if Chance was hurt, oh I swear, who ever did this would pay.

"Austin!" Silas tackled my wolf as I unintentionally shifted back huffing.

"Where's Chance!?" I immediately asked and he knew I was. He slightly frowned as I growled. "Where's Chance!?" He shook his head. Oh no. "Get off me!!" I yelled kicking him off as stood running to his tent as he pulled me back.

"He's not here! Someone kidnapped him-"

"Milo." I growled but continued to run to his tent. I had to see this for myself. I had too.

"Austin we need to help-" Silas stated as he tried to grab me but I shoved him away. No. Chance.

"I'll kill him." I snarled as I snatched back hit curtain feeling a cold breeze fly at me as I stared at the empty dark tent. It hadn't been used in days. Atleast... a couple of days. I balled up my fist stepping back as Silas grabbed me.

"We'll get him later-"

"I TOLD YOU TO WATCH HIM!!" I yelled furious as Silas stared at me. How hard could that be!? Chance wasn't strong enough to fight back, not to anyone, especially not to Milo. How hard could that be!? Silas remained to glare at me as he turned on his heel shifting and running into the fight. This wasn't over Milo. You were going to give me Chance back. whether you like it or not. And this time, I'll rip your throat out for real.

"Forrest don't."

"You wreak of Milo." I snarled as Levi looked at me as I quickly shifted knocking Levi from his feet. Surprisingly, he shifted as well throwing me back, but luckily I caught myself on the ball of my paws digging my claws into the snow. Levi shifted back grinning.

He sniffed his arm, "Can't smell Chance?" He asked confused causing me to snarl once more. I shifted back glaring him down.

"Where is he?" Levi just grinned as he licked over his lips.

*Chance's POV*

I sighed desperately as I wiped my teary eyes immediately regretting life like I always had. This, all of this, the catastrophe was all my fault. If I wasn't so damn dependent, things would have never turned out like this. Ugh. I was so stupid. So weak. Such a screw up. No wonder why father loved Trent, he did everything perfectly. I couldn't even shift correctly, and still can't! So why did Milo and Austin have to like me!? I wasn't anyone important, no one special! But I can't blame them, this was all my doing. If I was so confused and trying to wait things out, none of this would have even happened.
