Jayda got back home quite late. She was still mad at Fred for saying he wasn't going to allow Dave stay in their guest rooms or even the cottage they had in their compound.
Jayda eventually had to support Dave with paying part of the amount for him to stay in the hostel for a few days even though he refused to accept money from her.
She secured the doors locked before heading to her room.
When she got in, Fred was typing on his laptop. He glanced at her but returned his gaze to his laptop.
She wasn't interested in talking to him at all. She thought he was only being stupid for ignoring her.
She got out of her clothes, took out a nightgown from her wardrobe as well as a towel.
Fred kept himself from staring at her and still managed to have his full attention to his laptop.
"Very stupid," she said, loud enough for him to hear.
That was it! That was enough for him to go totally nuts.
He closed his laptop. "I'm sleeping somewhere else." He announced to her then took his laptop, supporting it with his arm then took a pillow from the bed.
Jayda didn't believe him. Was he truly leaving the room? Why the hell was he mad at her? She thought.
Fred left the room then Jayda went to the bathroom for a night bath. "What the hell is wrong with him?" She mumbled to herself.
Fred found his way to one of the guest's rooms. He was glad that it was neatly arranged and appreciated their part-time maid for that.
He got comfortable on the bed then continued to work on his laptop.
Jayda was really annoying him and he couldn't stand it. How couldn't she see what the hell she did wrong? He wondered.
Jayda got out of the bathroom, dried her body and applied her night skincare routine. She was surprised that Fred hadn't come back. She thought he was going to come back sooner so she intentionally spent some more time in the bathroom.
She got into the comfortable nightgown then laid on the bed.
She was contemplating on whether or not to go to Fred and it wasn't helping her in falling asleep.
She finally decided to swallow her pride and go to him. She searched the living room then a guest room but he wasn't there. She also checked his library, study room, home office and the second living room but he wasn't there either.
Jayda was starting to feel uneasily. She hoped that Fred hadn't gone out of the house, to some hotel whatsoever.
"Fred," she called but there was still no response. She then checked the next guest room and luckily found Fred there.
She heaved a sigh of relief. At least he was home. She walked to him but he didn't bother to even share her a glance.
She wasn't ready to let him remain in his sullen mood so she was going to try her best to have him back to normal.
"Fred," she called his name but he didn't answer her and furiously typed on his laptop.
She crawled on the bed and held his arms but he still didn't look at her and made a serious facial expression to emphasize on the fact that he was working.
"Please speak to me." She pouted. Fred still gave no response.
She angrily shut his laptop and kept it on the bedside table which made him sigh, placing his head on three of his fingers with his elbow on his other palm.
"What? You're not going to talk to me?" She smirked.
She sat on his lap with both of her legs on each of his sides and hugged him. "Don't get mad at me. I don't like it." She said.
"I'm sorry."
"You even wanted to allow him to sleep over in our matrimonial home. So, if I wasn't around, you'd have allowed him to come home with you, only the two of you?" He just thought about that and shook his head.
"You also insulted me in the presence of your so-called best friend, embarrassing me." He shook his head.
"I didn't know. You should know that it wasn't on purpose." She whispered, feeling guilty all of a sudden.
"Goodnight," he said gruffly then laid on the bed, covering himself with a duvet, his back facing her.
"Aren't you going to forgive me?" She pouted then pretended to wail.
"I have to sleep. I have a lot of work to handle tomorrow." He forced out.
"Hubby," she groaned like a child.
Jayda climbed on Fred and made him lay on the bed with his back on the bed then she rested her head on his chest, hugging him tightly.
She could feel he was feeling hot, sweating because the air conditioner wasn't turned on. She removed his shirt from him and rested her head on his bare chest. "I love you." She kissed his muscular chest.
"Don't you dare give me the silent treatment. I'll shove the world's hottest pepper down your throat if you do so." She joked.
Fred wasn't ready to talk to her yet. He really needed to sleep but he loved the position they were in like crazy.
"Do you need me to wear my lingerie again before you accept my apology? I was just naive so you have no right to be mad at me." This time, that made him chuckle.
She smiled on hearing him chuckle and it was enough for her so she felt free to sleep off. She fell asleep while drawing circles on his chest.
