After getting dressed in an office wear, Jayda kept her CV in her bag then topped her dressing with a black stiletto.
Jayda had called a company a few days ago. She had seen their ad on the newspapers then she called them if there was still any vacancy left which there was.
She was really excited and was called for an interview today.
After making sure that everything was good in her physical appearance, she said a short prayer to God and left home.
Mark and Seth weren't around and Jayda was still in the beginners stage of the driving lesson Fred had forced her to take. She now understood the reason for that.
She didn't want to call Fred because he had been really busy with work lately so she was going to serve as a disturbance to his work.
She had more than enough money with her for public transportation so she was going for that.
Jayda walked to the closest bus stop and boarded a bus that was heading to the location of the company.
Never did Jayda stop to remember the fact that she was now a celebrity as people were hovering for her signature. Jayred had started a YouTube channel (Jayred, lovebirds) which they did once in a while as a couple and did many fun things. Their videos were all over social media even though they only started it recently.
"I love your videos so much. You guys are the best romantic couple I've ever seen." A group of teenage girls said to her. They seemed pretty excited to see her. They asked for her autograph and she gladly gave them.
"You guys will surely have beautiful children. Are you both planning on having a baby soon or you want to wait for a few years before that?" One of the girls asked her.
"Well... I– I don't know." She said truthfully. How was that any of the young girl's business? She thought.
"Can we please take a photo with you?" They requested. She took a photo with them and it made them squeal. Others focused their attention on her and murmured while some talked to her but these girls, they were just too dramatic.
When the bus arrived at her destination, she was extremely glad as she went out of the bus quickly with a sigh of relief. She concluded in herself that it was the last time she was ever going to take a public bus.
She followed the address the woman she had called for the interview sent through a text message.
When she got to the company, she was welcomed by the receptionist who ended up giving her the direction to the interview room which happened to be the boss's office.
"Good afternoon." She greeted politely when she entered the office.
"Good afternoon." His voice was very thick.
She wasn't sure if he was going to be a nice person or not but she still wasn't nervous.
The man asked her questions which she answered confidently and her confidence amazed him. He also checked her CV for her qualification.
After a while, he concluded that she was very qualified for the job as the secretary to him.
"Thank you so much, sir. I'll make sure to try my best and work hard." She grinned.
"I'll call an employee to show you around to your office and places you'll need to know so you can resume tomorrow." Sam smiled.
"Tomorrow? Wow! Thanks a lot!" She was fully ecstatic.
He used the intercom to call one of his employees in.
"You called for me, sir." That very familiar voice said on walking in.
Jayda turned to the voice and just as if to bother her, it happened to be Dave. Why the hell was Dave working here?
"I want you to take my new secretary here for a little tour around the company." He pointed at Jayda and Dave only noticed her presence.
"Jayda?" A smile spread across his face.
"You know her?" He asked.
"What?! You mean the company is Sam's and Yiks?" He yelled, louder than he had intended. He only heard her now.
"Yes. Why?" She narrowed her eyes.
"And Sam is your boss?" He asked and she nodded.
"Don't you ever go there anymore?" He ordered out of concern. "Did he touch you in any way?" He held her shoulders and turned her around like it was going to tell.
"No, he didn't. Why?" She asked again.
"Sam is very crazy. A lot of his female employees complained that he harasses them and takes advantage of his female staff very well because they are highly paid." He explained.
"Really?"
"Yes. And why the hell did Dave have to be there?" He pushed his lips forward.
"You're such a baby." She giggled.
"I have an idea." He smirked then hugged her again, resting his head on her chest. "If you really want to work, why don't you work for me?"
"Really?!" She chimed.
"Yes. Jeremy is way too busy with the company's work so he's too loaded and is not really functioning well enough as my personal assistant. I need a personal assistant/secretary so it would be great if you could do that. You're definitely qualified for it, I know."
"That's great. When do I get to resume to work?" She was eager to start working as soon as possible.
"Anytime you want." He buried his head in her chest completely and kissed it.
"You're the best husband in the world, babe." She felt so lucky to have such a husband for herself alone.
