"What's with that expression?" Jayda asked, feeling irritated by it.

"You mean He's your father," Fred's heart rose and fell in fast motion. He was panting heavily to catch his breath.

"What's wrong with you?" She was starting to get worried this time. Confusing was a hell of an understatement to describe her reaction right now.

"Are you okay?" She frowned with worry. She rushed to the dining table with a tray containing a neat jug of water and three cups turned upside down on the tray, then she filled a glass with water and rushed back to him.

He was now pacing around a small area.

"You're not alright, not at all." She judged from his action as she offered him the water. "You better tell me what the fuck is wrong with you or you wouldn't like what I'd do to you." She threatened.

He collected the water from her and swallowed it in one drought.

Jayda gently rubbed his back (she didn't know what to do actually). Anyways, it worked in reducing his unsteady breathing.

"Have a seat, please." She said gently. He didn't argue with her and sat.. She crouched to the floor then cupped his cheeks in her hands. "Tell me what's bothering you," she demanded in a very gentle and loving tone.

"J– Jayda," he called, not knowing what his next words were. He rubbed his forehead with his fingers then sighed. "I... you... I don't know," he stuttered.

His breathing became quicker again when he stared directly into her eyes. He hopped to his feet then ran away.

Jayda was extremely curious as to what was the reason behind all this drama. She frowned when she saw Fred walking downstairs with a small bag with him.

"Where are you going?" She questioned.

"Uh...," he trailed off, scratching the back of his neck. "I– I just heard that... I have to wo– work on something." He stuttered with a smile that didn't last up to a second.

Fred knew that Jayda was going to ask more questions so he shut her up by kissing her on the lips deeply.

Jayda became lost in his kiss and she held his cheeks tightly. When they pulled away, they breathed heavily, trying to catch their breath.

"Goodbye. I love you," he said with a glint of sadness in his voice.

"I love you too." She was really worried about him but she wasn't going to press any further. She knew he was trying to avoid talking about whatever it is that was bothering him.

"Just make sure you're fine and do ensure you drive safely, promise?" She pouted.

He nodded then pulled her into a hug. He kissed her stomach before leaving the house.

"Weird..." she trailed off. "Guess we'll have to cancel our YouTube video for today." She voiced out.

Jayda immediately remembered that she was reading an interesting ebook, a romance novel that she needed to finish, "The Snooty Billionaire's Maid" by "Gift Odulesi" so she rushed back to the top floor balcony with her laptop to hurry up with it.

Freya wasn't feeling comfortable, she had a slight headache and she couldn't even fall asleep.

Why was life against her? She groaned. She happened to be free from her dangerous boss today who gave her the day off because she was feeling sick.

Here she was, safe from her boss and stressed out. That thing called sleep was not ready to come upon her so she could sleep all day long. She didn't have the appetite to eat anything, the movie she was watching wasn't lifting her mood and the worst of all was that Jeremy wasn't answering his phone.

"Jayda," she thought, then picked her phone from the table she had tossed it on then called Jayda's phone number.

"Hey, babe." Jayda beamed, filling her mouth with popcorn with her attention on her laptop.

"For once, I thought you weren't going to pick my call." Freya sniffed. She was coming down with a cold too? What the hell was wrong with her? Yet, she refused to go to the doctor.

"Why not?" Jayda asked.

The bugging sound of a knock on the door made Freya feel so uncomfortable, jerking her awake from her sleep that she finally managed to get after what seemed like hours.

She shifted and stretched for a while before looking at the door.

Even though she was tired and felt like she had been hit on the head with a hardwood, she could still tell that she wasn't dreaming when it was Jeremy standing by her door that was opened and was knocking.

"What's your problem?" She said with a yawn.

Jeremy walked to her then sat beside her.

"Did you seriously have to wake me up?" She sat up with her back bent.

"I'm sorry for that. I had come here about four to five hours ago but I saw you were sleeping so I didn't want to wake you up. I tried doing the dishes for you since you obviously couldn't do it and did other weird things. I was bored so I felt the need to wake you up." He explained.

"Four to five hours, did I sleep that long?" It felt like she only slept for about five minutes, to her.

"Yep! Longer than that," he nodded positively then held her hands.

"I feel so tired," she yawned again, stretching her arms behind her back.

"Wait here, I got you something. Please go to the bathroom and freshen up, okay?" He instructed politely.

She wanted to argue against it but she ended up nodding in agreement. She got to her feet then went to the bathroom.

Jeremy excused her and locked the door.

"Tell me when you're done," he yelled to her.

"Okay." She shouted back.
