After a while, Freya was done in the bathroom and was wearing a blue dress that ended mid-thighs and a pair of white slippers.
She still felt tired and her curly hair was messy. She didn't have the strength to do it properly.
"Here," Jeremy handed her a big box before she could get to him, not giving her a chance to give him a peck.
"What's this for?" She frowned.
"Just open it." He rolled his eyes.
Freya opened the box and she saw the most beautiful black gown ever with a pair of bronze-colored heels and a bracelet.
"Now, I'm confused and more curious," she smiled.
"You have to wear those. I'm taking you to a surprise dinner party. It's the birthday party of a friend of mine. He wants to celebrate it with his friends so he especially asked me to bring you along because he has been dying to meet you." He grinned.
"What?! Why are you just telling me that? That's why you're all dressed up in a classy way. I thought you were just coming from a party." She wrinkled her face.
"I didn't want you to say 'no' so hurry up and get dressed."
"I feel sick, this isn't right at all." She protested.
"You're so funny. I'll be waiting." He kissed her cheek.

After taking about forever minutes on getting ready, Freya finally came out.
"Wow! You look damn hot!" He widened his mouth and eyes. "Let me take a picture of this goddess." He shook his head at how beautiful she was then took a few pictures of her, also being in some of the pictures.
"I'm tired, can we just go already?" She tried to stop herself from smiling but she was blushing like crazy.
Jeremy had the intention of telling her how much time she had wasted but he was taken aback by her beauty.
He ushered her into his car then drove gently, never missing a chance to take glances at her.

"Finally, I thought you weren't going to come." Roland, the birthday boy greeted him and pulled him into a hug.
"Oh my!" He looked at Freya in admiration. "Is this your girlfriend? Gosh, she's damn hot!" She explained then held her hand, placing a kiss on it.
"Thank you," Freya giggled.
"I'd definitely have taken her if she wasn't yours." Roland teased then Jeremy glared at him.
"Let's get in." He held Freya's waist then walked in with her by his side.
"You didn't tell me the party is this big. It's obviously an expensive one and I wasn't expecting such a large audience." She frowned at how many the audience were.
"I'm sorry for not telling you but I hope you love it. Enjoy yourself." They took their seats.

After a few hours, the party was drawing to its end, some people had left already while others were either enjoying their meal or doing something else.
"I'll be back," Jeremy said to Freya and kissed her lips gently. He walked over to Roland which made Freya feel so lonely. Jeremy hadn't left her side throughout the party so she missed his presence already.
Freya shook slightly when she heard Jeremy's voice from the loudspeakers.
She searched for him and she found him somewhere around the middle of the big hall. He was grinning and staring at her.
He dialed her number but she wasn't picking up. He called her again till the fourth ring which she answered.
"Hello, honey. I just got here; I was cooking dinner for us." She grinned. "What is taking you so long? I was reading a novel so I barely even thought about the fact that you've been gone for quite a few hours already." She admitted.
"Ah, I'm sorry." Fred apologized meekly.
"Anyways, sup. When are you coming back? I'm bored. I can't fall asleep so I'm thinking of reading a new novel till you get back home." She said.
"No, no." He sighed.
"What's the problem?" She became worried all of a sudden.
"No need to worry. I'll not be able to come home today. I might not be around for a few days or weeks." He added.
"What?! Why?!" She frowned.
"Please eat something then sleep. Don't stress yourself out. Don't get Axel tired." He smiled shortly, she definitely couldn't see him.
"It's not fair. Why aren't you coming home for that long? What's your problem? You've been acting weird since I told you about my dad. Are you okay?" She whined.
"I'm fine. I just have to work on something important. I'm too busy at work and I have to attend a business trip." He tried to sound more convincing.
"Fuck off!" She exclaimed annoyedly then ended the call.
"Stupid, moron." She cursed underneath her breath before returning to the kitchen to turn off the fire.
Fred sank in the chair of his cottage he was in and palmed his face.
"I really hope our unborn child, Axel, will be fine. God, help me out. What do we do?" He finally drifted into a deep sleep.
