"Thank you, ma'am." Jayda and Fred's part-time maid for their house said to Jayda, bowing politely even though she was way older. She was done for the day and had to leave for home.

"No problem, you're welcome." She smiled.

Jayda was bored so she helped her out in cleaning the house and the woman couldn't stop appreciating that.

Jayda was really bothered because Fred hadn't been answering her calls.

Jayda decided to try calling his phone one more time. It rang for a while but there was no response. It was so annoying and made her feel crazy.

"Idiot! Fuck off," she cursed. She threw her phone to the couch then went to the main bathroom, took a shower and did the necessary things before getting dressed. She applied her skincare and haircare products.

Despite almost being 5 months pregnant, Jayda's bump was still very small. She had called Doctor Claire who confirmed that it's totally normal. Only then was she relieved.

Jayda was as bored as hell once more. She was living a life of torture. She was pissed off to the peak.

Jayda remembered her best friend, Freya then called her phone number. After the second ring, Freya answered the call.

"Hey, honey." Happiness was definitely evident in her tone. "You finally decided to call me, uhn."

"How're you? Are you feeling any better?" Jayda asked.

"Of course I'm feeling way better than you can expect. Jeremy has been taking care of me all through and he ensured that I wasn't sick anymore." She giggled, hugging herself and her face flooded with red on remembering all that Jeremy did for her.

"That's very nice of him. Extend my greetings to him, please." Jayda smiled shortly. "How's things going on over there?"

"Things are damn fine. I just can't stop staring at my ring." Freya exclaimed.

"Ring? What ring?" Jayda grinned, almost having an idea of the possible answer in mind.

"I didn't tell you?" Freya was surprised about that, "I even told Dave. Jeremy proposed to me a few days ago and I accepted his proposal." She squealed, "damn I'm so happy."

"Wow. This is wonderful." Jayda was extremely happy for her. Dave and Freya were not as close as Jayda and Dave, and Jayda and Freya so she couldn't believe she told him before her.

"Of course it is. It was a really big surprise to me because we both agreed that we were going to do an engagement ceremony; privately, but he took that chance of getting engaged to me at a friend's party." She explained.

"That's pretty cool. It's really quick though. It still feels like yesterday when you told me he took you on a date." Jayda admitted.

"Whatever. We'll be getting married soon so expect our Wedding invitation card from us at any moment." She squealed once more then asked, "What 'bout Fred?"

"I'll definitely be expecting an invitation card from you guys." She chuckled, trying to ignore her question about Fred.

"Yeah." She nodded merrily then remembered her question, "I asked of Fred." Freya reiterated.

Jayda squeezed her face and tried not to sigh. She didn't utter a word for a while, contemplating on whether or not to tell her. She didn't feel it was right to keep on saying things and problems about her married life but she shrugged it off. It was Freya, wasn't it?

"Hello?" For once, Freya thought she was no longer on the phone.

"I'm good, you?" She forced out.

"I'm also very good. How's everything been and where the hell are you?! Why haven't you come back home?!" She hollered.

"I'm sorry. I have to settle a lot of things here so I'm trying my best to hurry up. I'm also sorry for not answering your calls." He apologized.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes, feeling relieved to hear his voice once more.

"I love you." He said silently.

Jayda didn't bother to reply and stared at her fingernails for a while.

"I need money." Jayda finally said.

"Money?" He didn't expect that. "There's enough money in your bank account, right? I hope nothing is wrong with Axel or you or..." Jayda cut him off with his nonsense conclusions.

"I don't need money in that way. I need a couple of millions of dollars." She gulped.

"Millions of dollars. You should also have that in your bank account." He was confused.

"I need more than that. I really need them. It's very urgent." She sniffed.

"What exactly do you need them for?" He inquired.
