Fred got into his car and drove really fast to the city Hospital. Why was all this happening to him?

Fred couldn't contain how anxious he was. He prayed that nothing was wrong? How could he have been so careless to let her go when she was driving crazily?

"Where's my wife?" Fred asked the nurse immediately he ran into the hospital, panting heavily.

"Gentleman, please have your seat till you calm down then come back." The nurse said with a smile.

"My WIFE had an accident and you're telling me to sit down?!" He yelled.

"Jayda Maklaw?" The nurse dabbed her eyebrow, asking for confirmation.

"Yes! Yes!" Fred cried.

"She's in the first room by the left on the fourth floor. Just take the first elevator to your right, over there." She jerked her thumb towards the direction.

"Sign here first." She pointed to a book before Fred could disappear from her sight.

Fred found her pretty frustrating but he didn't argue with her and signed before dashing out of her sight.

Fred was involuntarily going to barge into the room Jayda was being treated but he was stopped by some unidentifiable people who held him back.

"Jayda!" He called really loud like it was going to help her get healed.

The door of the hospital room she was in had a rectangular glass in which you could see what was going on inside of the room so Fred peeked through it.

Jayda was completely injured as the nurses and doctor were trying every possible thing to save her. There was no way Jayda could die. Fred shook his head.

For the first time since twenty years, Fred cried his eyes out. He didn't have anyone to console him. Jeremy had travelled for his honeymoon and the couple had cancelled internet connection for them both till they planned on coming back.

Fred sat on the floor with his head between his knees.

"How the hell could you have been so careless to leave her?" Dave's voice rang into Fred's ears.

Fred shot his head upwards to look at him then a frown formed on his face. He was blaming himself enough so he didn't need others to contribute to blaming him.

"Get out. Don't even annoy me any further." Fred vouched.

"Are you aware of the fact that Samantha is dead?" Dave drew his eyes in askance.

"What?! Samantha's dead?" He immediately rose up to his feet then held Dave's shoulders.

"Don't you try to hold my shoulders," Dave slapped his hands away from him then squared his shoulders.

"Why? How? When?" Fred was extremely shocked to hear that.

"Didn't you know that she was at the hospital for her final surgery?" A frown formed on Dave's face. "What do you even know?" He rolled his eyes.

"How did Samantha die?" He demanded to know.

"The surgery wasn't successful so they lost her." Dave shrugged in pain. He felt very bad that Samantha who he regarded as a mother was now dead.

Fred felt guilty swimming inside of him, remembering that he had something to do with the injection that was given to Samantha so he was indirectly the cause of Samantha's death.

It was going to take a while for Jayda to forgive him, if that was ever going to happen. He raked his hair with his fingers and ran his hand over his face.

"Gosh... I pray Jayda and Axel will be fine." He sniffed.

"Who the hell is Axel and why are you caring about him when Jayda is in such a condition?" It made Dave more angry than he already was.

"Axel is our unborn child. Jayda's currently pregnant." He said in a rush. He didn't want to talk too much. He didn't have the strength to and Dave was serving as a disturbance to him.

"Axel? Jayda never told me. Oh Jesus! That means my Jayda is currently pregnant?!" Dave's fear became twice as much as it was.l

"How can Axel just die? I was too bound to him. It's all my fault." She sobbed.

"No, it's not. Don't blame yourself." He patted her back and head.

"Hold on," she raised her head up then her eyes bored into his glassy blue eyes. "It's not my fault but yours. It's all your fault." She chuckled sarcastically then burst into tears again.

"If only I had driven safely, Axel would still be fine." The headache she was feeling was beyond explicable. Her chest was vibrating because she couldn't control it due to her crying and sobbing.

"I said I was sorry. It wasn't a deliberate act, I swear. If not for the fact that my dad forced me to do it, I wouldn't have done it." Fred stopped tears from falling from his eyes with everything in him. He needed to be strong.

"You arranged for people to inject my mother which means... you're indirectly the cause of her death." Her cry became louder.

"Why did I have to cross paths with you?" She was screaming at the top of her lungs then tried to stand up.

Fred wrapped his arms around her, holding her in his tight embrace. He didn't want her to do anything as stupid as hurt herself or commit suicide.

"Be calm." He whispered into her ear. To his surprise, it made her become calm.

"Axel is gone." The thought of it struck her once more and she whimpered.

"Axel will forever remain in our hearts." He hugged her tightly.

"I hate you!" She muttered underneath her breath.

"No, you don't." He kissed her cheek warmly. "I love you."

"I can't bear to stay with a murderer so I'll be leaving here for somewhere else after I've been discharged." She declared. Fred didn't argue with her; she needed a break from him.

"I can't believe I lost my unborn son, my mother and...my husband, all in one day..." she cried louder. She cried all her hers out till she was out of breath and water to shed.
