In this standout chapter of the Internet novel The Rebellious Alpha, Ladipo Michael introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.

I had a dream, that I lived a beautiful life. I was in Greenville Pack House gardens with Claire by my side. Both of us laughing for joy while our twins played around. Olivia was busy playing with her dolls alongside my mother while Oliver, took joy in pulling Gabriel's low cut hair. Gabriel would scream but also laughed at my son's playfulness. Rose was happy and so was Aunty Flora. And Uncle Walker, being our caring father.

We were happy but unfortunately this dream came to an end. Here I was in my tattered clothes soaked in oil, hung on a stick to be burnt alive in front of the crowds yelling curse words at me.

"Burn him!"

"Behead him!"

"Bury him alive!"

"Cut him into pieces!!"

Many of them chanted and amidst this hurling crowds, I found many Alphas, all standing in silence and waiting for that moment to come. The time where my body will be ashes. My eyes found, the monster. Blake, standing only inches away from me alongside the elders and Beta Conrad.

There he was grinning devilishly and it made me boil in hopeless rage. How can a man who killed his Father have no remorse? I couldn't help but feel regret. I was going to die for a man who wasn't shameful about his sin.

A stone hit my head and immediately, I felt blood tour from my forehead across down to my cheek. But I couldn't feel pain anymore, I had already been receiving this from the crowd ever since I was hung. Thanks to the guards keeping them at bay, if not I should be in pieces by now.

My eyes darted to the crowd again and I found my family and a sizeable amount of Greenville members. They were in tears, but my mother's tears was the only one which broke my heart. Even though I didn't want to cry, seeing her in that pain alone made me weep like a child.

My thoughts drifted to Claire. She was the only one missing here. Perhaps she couldn't bear to see me in this state. At the same time, I chose to dwell on her promise. A promise that seemed to fade away as seconds passed.

"Today, we shall all witness the end to this criminal!" Blake announced as he inched closer to my side. He declared with so much pride that it only made anger reignite within me. Unfortunately, my anger wasn't going to be of much use today. My body had already undergone several torturous punishment to weaken it.

"He murdered the Lycan all for a baseless revenge and he dared to kill me too. For this treason of his, Kevin Manchester shall be executed by burning him alive!" He declared before he carried a wood towards a fire lit beside me.

"Yes! Yes! Burn him! Burn him!" So were the chants my ears could mostly pick.
