Layla POV:

The pain of Sin being with other women was getting harder and harder to handle because the pain would get worse the more he was near me.

He said I was pathetic and a waste of space. How could my mate talk to me that way? Mom and Dad said that meeting your mate is a blessing. It's more of a curse. I hated Sin and I hated the fact the moon goddess paired me with that bastard.

As the days went on, Sin hadn't tried to talk to me and I was thankful for that, but I would still see him in the halls with girls around him. I tried my best to keep my distance from him because my wolf was in so much pain and distress. I cared very much for her and I tried to take as much of it away as I possibly could.

When I got to my first period, I was alone. Adrien said something about him being too hung over to go to school today. Stupid boy.

Something else was different, too, though. Sin didn't have a girl on his arm. Cindy wasn't even next to him. She was trying to get his attention but he ignored her. He was done with her obviously, but that makes me worry about who he's seeing now.

Sin caught my eye and just looked at me. He didn't have the usual scowl on his face as he did all the other times. He just simply looked at me and I couldn't break my gaze from him.

He then got up, walked toward me and sat next to me. "It's not nice to stare, Layla." He said and smirked. "What do you want?" I asked him. "What, I can't say hi?" He asked. "No." I said bitterly and looked away from him. He finally walked away from me and sat back in his seat.

I tried to ignore how happy my wolf was that he came up to us, because I simply wasn't. I hated him for what he did it me.

"Hey, bitch!" Sandy said, skipping over to me, making me laugh. "What's up?" I asked her.

"You asshole!" I heard from down the hall. It came from Cindy and she was furious. "What is your problem? You know I don't stick to one girl at a time." She was arguing with Sin. "I thought you cared about me!" Cindy yelled.

"You!" Cindy screamed as she stormed over to me. God damn it. "You bitch! What's so special about you, huh? You think you're better than everyone else because you're the Alpha's daughter?" She yelled.

I rolled my eyes at her. "No, Cindy. If you didn't notice, Sin hates me." I told her. "Then why did he take up for you?" She asked, her voice still at the annoyingly high pitch. "I don't fucking know, okay! Leave me out of whatever you two have going on in your pathetic lives!"

I stood my ground. I'm not going to be treated like nothing anymore.

Cindy screamed in anger and stomped off in the other direction. Yep.. Life was about to get much harder. Yay for me.

I needed to get home and now, before things got worse.
