Sin POV:
"Layla!" I yelled through our link before jumping on the rouge, making him let go of her.
I heard her whimpers of pain. She was bleeding heavily and I had to get her out of there as fast as I could.
As soon as I took down the rouge, I shifted and ran to her side.
"Baby, you're going to be okay." I told her and picked up her limo body, before running to the pack house to get the doctor.
Sandy was in the pack house when I got there. "What happened?!" She screamed. "A rouge." I said, my voice cracking.
Layla, lied in her hospital bed a few minutes later, when Lucas burst through the door.
"You stupid, stupid son of a bitch! This is all your fault!" He yelled, slamming me against the wall.
"You don't think I know that?! I tried! He was too fast!" I yelled back at him. "You could have protected her!" Lucas yelled.
"Enough!" It was Layla's mother. I pushed Lucas away before taking a step to her.
"Luna, I'm so fucking sorry." I told her as tears fell down my face. "I know, sweetie. If it weren't for you, though, she would have died. Thank you so much."
I was so confused. Luna O'Connell always held a grudge. Why was she being so nice to me? I guess what she said was true, but I still feel like it's my fault.
"Where's dad?" Lucas asked. "He's outside trying to force himself to come in. He's having a hard time." Luna O'Connell told him.
"I'm sorry." I bowed my head to her in guilt and shame. "Honey, it's okay." She said putting her hand on my shoulder. Her were soft as she continued. "I was wrong about you, Sin."
I gave her a small sad smile before turning back to my sleeping mate. I took her hand and kissed her forehead. "I'm so sorry, baby. I love you." I whispered in her ear.
Layla POV:
Something occured to me and my eyes widened. "What happened to the rouge?" I asked. "He's dead, baby. It's okay." He said and kissed me.
Sin stayed with me for hours before dad made him go home. Mom finally accepted Sin, but Lucas and dad blame him for me being here.
When I got back home, dad barely let me out of the house for days. The only reason he let me leave after a while is because mom had to convince him.
I met Sin at the small cafe my family and I come to often for our date. He's been so attentive to me more since we were attacked.
"Are you okay?" I asked. "Yeah, baby. I'm just still worried about you." He replied. I smiled softly at him and reached across the table, grabbing his hand. "I'm okay now, Sin. I really am." I said.
"I also brought you here to ask you something." Sin told me. "What is it?" I asked. "Will you come to my pack house and meet the pack?" He asked me.
My eyes widened. I had no idea what to say.
