Layla POV:

When Sin and I pulled into his pack house, he took my hand and squeezed it gently. "You'll be fine, baby. You have nothing to worry about." He assured me.

When we walked in, Jesse was the first to greet me. He smiled warmly at me and shook my hand. "It's nice to finally meet you, Layla. I've heard good things about you." He said. I smiled back at him before answering. "It's nice to meet you too, Jesse."

"Layla, it's so good to see you." Sin's mother, LaurieAnne said before hugging me. "It's good to see you too, Luna." I said smiling.

Sin introduced me to the rest of the pack. I discovered that, Dorian, the boy he had been fighting with over me was going to be the gamma of the pack after graduation.

"I'm sorry for the disrespect, Layla. I'm glad Sin finally realized what a mistake he made. We're all very excited to have you." He said. "Thank you, Dorian."

I heard a whistle come from the top of the stairs a moment later. A very beautiful girl with long brown hair came over to me and hugged me.

"Girl, you are more beautiful than I imagined." She said, causing me to raise an eye brow.

"This is my cousin, Sarah. She'll probably hit on you every chance she gets." Sin said laughing lightly. Oh! Now I get it.

"I mean, can you blame me, cuz? She's sexy." Sarah said. "Okay, enough." Sin said getting slightly irritated.

Sarah laughed and hugged me again. "It was nice meeting you, Layla. You ever want to hang out, you know where to find me." She said making me laugh lightly. "Thanks." I replied.

"I told you they'd love you." Sin whispered.

"Oh! How did meeting the pack go, Sin?" She asked. "It was great. They love her and she had a good time with them. Well, my cousin Sarah hit on her most of the time." I said making her laugh. "Goddess, now you have women to worry about?" Layla's mother asked making me sigh dramatically. "Unfortunately."

"Sin?" I turned to see Lucas. "Yeah?" I asked. "A word?" He asked. I took a deep breath before following him.

"You know I absolutely hate you, right?" Lucas asked. "I'm aware. Man I really am trying though. I'm not fond of you either but I'm trying to be civil with you for Layla's sake." I replied. Lucas sighed and nodded. "Fine. For my sister's sake, I'll try to get along with you." He replied. I nodded at him before searching for Layla.

"Sin, would you like to join us for dinner tonight?" Alpha Cross asked. I looked at Layla who was sitting next to him. "If that's okay with you, baby." I told her causing her to smile at me. "Of course." She replied.

While we ate, we heard a knock at the door. Alpha Cross opened the door to reveal my father. "Dad?" I asked. His eyes were full of tears.

"Dad, what's going on?" I asked nervously. "It's your mother, Sin. Something happened." He told me.
