"Sit back down." He commands as he steps away from me. I shake my head, I needed to leave this place. Deborah was right, I shouldn't of have watched him from so close.
"Do you want to see your mother again? Sit down."
I swallow and clutch my purse close to my chest. I took none of the smallest step backwards and feel the leg of the chair touch my leg. I sit down and look straight ahead of me. His belt in my way.
My nerves start to slowly vanish as he steps away from me. I dare to glance up just in the slightest of ways and see him taking a tall small stool and another chair that is identical from mine from a corner of the room.
He turns and I immediately look down at my purse. My eyes something that my help my situation right now, my damn phone.m
I jump slightly as I heard the bang of the chair being place in front of me, he places the stool in the center, what was he planning to do? I don't have much time to think as he goes somewhere around the room again.
This might be my chance, I silently dig into my bag and dig out my cellphone. Unlocking it, the damn piece of metal made the original apple unlocking sound. I hear a chuckle from behind me and he walks menacingly in front of me.
Her eyes drop to his hand and her eyes become the one's a deer would when they get scared immediately. He had a knife. A big one at that.
He sat down in front of her. "Trying to call the police now? Так наивно. (So naive.)" He raised the knife and started to play with it. I could now see the knife behold.
"Do you know the significance of a bat?" He suddenly asked. I'm afraid to answer. What if he doesn't like my response and slices my throat and leaves me in this lonely room to slowly die? "I expect an answer, woman."
"It's--No, I don't know..." What else am I supposed to say?
He smirks and lays it flat on the stool. I exhale deeply before staring at his eyes. "Bats are truly amazing, even when you try to hide from them in the dark, they will find you anyways." He stopped before continuing.
"I'll give you two options." He relaxed back on the chair and examines my whole body. Spending more time on my chest area.
"You can undress for me, or..." Was did guy crazy? Why would he think I would do that? "We can play a nice and fair game." He finished.
"What's the game about?"
"Seriously? Choosing the game over me?" He looked down and slightly shook his head. "We can have sex, we can have a mind blowing sex at that, it will ruin your experience with any other guys. And believe me, other guys will want you, you're a piece of work."
"I want to know about the game." I command slightly, but I watch my tone. I don't want to die like a stupid girl.
He stares at me with a special glint covering his gaze. "Eager? Very well, it's called the knife game. Seeing as you are a reporter I suppose you have questions for me to answer. The rules are simple I answer your questions and while I answer them you will have your hand spread out on top of this stool while the knife goes between one and each fingers of yours." He explains.
"Which one?" He said looking at me. I'm afraid that I might loose a finger but having sex with him?
"Knife game," I replied.
"First reporter to say that." He says, slightly amused. I frown, I wasn't the first reporter he met? "Others have came?" I couldn't help but to question him.
"Yes, all of them girls. Seeing my picture in those files sure does a twist inside their panties, why did you chose me?" He now questions.
"In all honestly, your case was handed down to me. Deborah--"
"Oh my dear friend Deborah, she's like a slimy thing that sticks behind your back at all times. That woman only cared about getting a story published, she didn't care about the story itself. Place your hand on the stool." He didn't even gave me time to think about what he said as he picked up his knife and waited.
"Are you going to slice a finger of mine?" I place my bag on the floor and start to sweat a bit, I couldn't trust him.
"If you don't move, now place your hand on the table." He says again. His tone in a bored manner. "Fine," I whispered to myself and I didn't noticed that I was shaking until I help up my hand and was on the way of placing it on top of the stool.
He gripped my wrist and brought my hand closer to his side, I slightly had to bend the upper part of my body.
"What's your first question?" He said as he parted my fingers to his like, he touch my hand with care, that was the part that scared me the most.
"Already starting with the most used one? What is that? Is in on the script that you reporters get?" He picked up his knife and looked at me.
"Ask me one yourself, what's your question?" He began to slice the knife between my fingers, he was doing it slowly.
I almost ran out the door, what the hell just happened?

May 1st, 2019.
Today was crazy, I'm now sure if I should tell Deborah what happened today.
My dream has always been to be a reporter, if I give up now, I won't be trying my full potential. What would my brother think of me?
I don't want to fail him, what would my mother think of me? She would probably comfort me but still be sad.
From what I could recall, many reporters gave up and just had sex with Baby.
I mean who wouldn't? The guy looked like a temptation invitation to do all sinful things.
But I need to prove everyone that I could manage a little warning, I needed to, especially my brother. May god be taking good care of him.
I close my journal as I lay in bed, spread out like a... bat. My arms, the wings, my legs, their little legs. I close my eyes and repeat the sentence that he said to me.
Bats are truly amazing, even when you try to hide from them in the dark, they will find you anyways.
What did he meant by that? No matter how much a reporter tries to secretly watch he will always find them?
Always?
