"Please make sure that while you are knocking up women, one of them has Grahamsteen as a last name come December. Otherwise, all of this would have been for nothing."

Michael narrows his eyes darkly at his mother. "Good day, ma." He says slowly before turning to leave.

He hurriedly departs his mother's house in fury and gets into his Mercedes before speeding away as fast as he can. What the hell was he going to do, there was no way he was going to get married.

Since when did he let people control him or tell him what to do, since when did anyone else's opinion besides his matter. All of a sudden, every body now has a free pass into the affairs of his life. Genevieve was so damn manipulative sometimes. If not that she was his mother, he swore most times he would have lost more than his temper with her.

A wave of personal disapproval hits him. You never hit a woman, Michael, he thinks to himself as he punches his steering wheel in anger. Look how the situation was already causing him to lose his cool, he seriously needed to sit down and think all of this through before moving forward. For now, he would just take things easy. To hell with the entire world.

Veronica cleared the last of the tables at the coffee shop before deciding to lock up and call it a day. The week had been a slow one but she was glad that today she would be getting paid by her neighbor for all the babysitting she'd been doing this month.

Sara wasn't getting any better and the more she got sick, the more Veronica felt boxed in without any other option but to reach out to Mr. Grahamsteen. How could she go through with his agreement, she couldn't imagine giving away her child.

She gets into her rusty pick up truck, brings the engine to life and starts to drive away.

She desperately tried to forget that such a choice was available because she couldn't even bring herself to understand how she was going to sell off her child to a stranger.

She was going to continue working her jobs, soon enough she would gather enough money to save Sara.

Her drive is brief and before long she pulls up in the driveway of her house before getting out of her truck. She dashes into the house to find Sara on the floor, lying in a pool of blood.

"Sara!" She cries out as she rushes to her side. Sara tiredly opens her eyes.

"Why didn't you call Gretchen?" She begins to sob softly.

"I don't think she was in. No one picked up." Sara whispers, her voice is frail.

"Veronica." She continues. "The clots are getting much bigger, they just keep falling out and even the diaper pads are no longer enough to stop them."

Veronica cries out in frustration. "I know, this is definitely a lot of blood. You can't go on like this, you can't continue with the uncontrollable bleeding. You need this surgery."
